when i press the ac button it blinks three times but does not turn on. 2007 Tahoe LT
If the vehicle is equipt with an ambient air temperature display, the sensor also prevents the AC clutch from engaging if the outside air is below as certain tempreture. To test, turn the AC on. Press and hold the AC button at the same time as you press and hold the recirculate button. Hold for 5 to 8 seconds. If this is the cause of the issue, the AC will kick on and you will hear the compressor clutch engage. This should also reset the sensor and correct the issue.

DIC not working on my 2007 Chevy Tahoe
{: ) It will be helpful if you can elaborate more on this concern and also note down any other symptoms that you may notice. It's because there are many GM bulletins that may apply to your problem.
Anyway we can just round off some possible causes and fixes for the moment.
If only the DIC screens on your cluster are going dim or blank despite adjustments on the backlighting knob near the main headlamp switch, the problem is internal to the cluster, and it can be fixed by an electronic service center. The other option is to have it replaced and programmed.
If the DIC buttons doesn't seem to work, remove the DIC connector and check the black wire for a good ground connection. You may also try removing the IPC fuse at the underhood fuseblock for 20sec while the igntion is off. Then reinstall the fuse and turn ignition on, and recheck button functions.
Another option is to diagnose the DIC inputs and cluster operation using a GM scan tool. It can monitor better the signals from your DIC. The scan tool may also reveal some codes that can be relevant to solving the problem, like a wiring or a component issue.

My 2007 Chevy Tahoe has service 4 wheel drive on dash and a check engin light is on and remote start will not work. Had the check engin light checked and it said transfer case control module has lost communication.
a bad module will do this try unplugging it and plugging it back in, find a scanner that will talk to the 4x4 module not just the PCM.

2007 Chevy Tahoe check engine scan codes: P0030, P0053, PO135 ~ Please advise or help : ( thought that advanced auto would have been a bit more helpful than handing me a piece of paper with codes and telling me to look them up on their site that is not a working site : (
There is a fault with the inbuilt heater in the oxygen sensor, before the catalytic converter, on the exhaust pipe the same side of the engine as cylinder 1. The oxygen sensor has four wires within the cable sheath to the top of it. Two of the wires will share the same color. These wires supply power to an internal heating element wire within the sensor. Follow the cable from the oxygen sensor to the connector, you can do a lot testing here. Check the resistance between the two 'same coloured ' wires. The resistance is low, somewhere between 1 and 10 ohms. If there is no continuity (infinite resistance) then this is the fault and the sensor needs to be replaced. The codes: P0030 the oxygen sensor heater relay is at fault P0053 Oxygen heater resistance error P0135 Sensor 1 bank 1 error You are looking at replacement. A further confirmation take the connection from sensor 1 bank 1 and swap it with the sensor 1 bank 2 on the other side of the engine. The codes should 'transfer' and show P0036; P0059 and P0141.

I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Both the lighter covers (auxillary power outlet covers) have broken off. I bought the replacement lighter covers but can't figure out how to remove the old ones to put in the new ones. It looks easy, but I don't want to pry and break something. How do I get the old lighter cover housing off so I can snap in the new ones?
GM does not list a procedure for replacing these. I have only had to do it once. If I remember correctly, the power outlet must be removed to get the new cover on. GM has a special tool for doing this, but I did not use it. Here is the procedure for removing the outlet. After removing the fuse you can use a small pick to push in the tabs that are referred to in step 2.1. After removing the outlet I think the cover slips off of it.
Cigar Lighter Receptacle or 12-Volt Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement
Tools Required
J 42059 Cigar Lighter Socket Remover
1.- Remove the auxiliary power outlet fuse from the fuse block.
2.- Remove the receptacle:
2.1. Look into the receptacle. There are two 3 mm (0.11 in) tab windows 12 mm (0.47 in) from the front of the receptacle. The J 42059 pushes the plastic latches from these tab windows and the receptacle can be pulled straight out.
2.2. Place one side of the "T" portion of the J 42059 into the tab window. The J 42059 will not fit straight into the receptacle. Angle the J 42059 slightly for insertion into the receptacle.
2.3. Insert the other side of the "T" into the opposite tab window.
You must move the J 42059 handle toward horizontal to engage the other tab window.
2.4. Use the J 42059 to pull the receptacle straight out.
3.- If J 42059 tool fails to release the lighter socket from the retainer, perform the following alternate method:
3.1. Insert a small grinding tool with a cutoff wheel into the socket.
3.2. Remove the plastic latches in the 3 mm (0.11 in) square windows.
3.3. Use the J 42059 as directed above to remove the socket.
Installation Procedure
4.- Route the connector through the retainer. Align the accessory power receptacle retainer to the slot in the opening.
5.- Install the retainer by pressing into place fully seated.
6.- Connect the electrical connector to the receptacle.
7.- Align
the tabs on the receptacle to the slots in the retainer. Install the
accessory power receptacle by pressing into place until fully seated.
8.- Install the accessory power receptacle fuse.

Hope this helps.

2007 HHR
After battery drained the seat belt chimes, door chimes, turn signal sounds and radio all ceased functioning.
Check the radio fuse. As unusual as it seems, GM has started having the radio (even though not turned on) generate the chimes and turn signal sounds. If the radio fails, all the chimes fail too.
This applies to other vehicles besides the HHR. My 2003 Silverado had the door chimes fade down so I could barely hear them. The fix was to replace the radio (under warranty, fortunately...).

2007 Chevy Tahoe rear door won't open
If the contacts that go to the door lock are corroded the switch will not work. Spray WD-40 from inside the vehicle into the space between truck and the door on the passenger side. A few squirts near the high to middle of the side of door should give enough conductivity to energize the lock.

po641 reduced engine power 07 silverado
P0641 Chevrolet Description
The control module has 2 internal 5-volt reference buses called 5-volt reference 1 and 5-volt reference 2 . Each reference bus provided 5-volt reference circuit for more than one sensor. Therefore, a fault condition on one 5-volt reference circuit will affect the other 5-volt reference circuits connected to the reference bus. The control module monitors the voltage on the 5-volt reference buses.

After brake pads replace i have code c1100 what it means and possible prolem
DTC C1100 00: Brake Booster Vacuum Sensor Performance .
Do you know what the brake booster is ?
Circuit/System Description
The electronic brake control module (EBCM) provides a power 5-volt reference to the brake booster vacuum sensor. The brake booster vacuum sensor converts the change in vacuum levels in the brake booster into a voltage signal. This signal is sent to the EBCM. The voltage signal ranges, from 0.13 to 3.30 volts depending on vacuum levels. The low reference is the return side of the sensor to ground.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
?€¢
Voltage at the brake booster sensor signal output to the EBCM falls outside the 0.13 to 3.30 volts range for more than 200 milliseconds.
?€¢
The power 5-volts reference is shorted to ground or battery positive.
