My check engine ligtht continues
I had the same problem and was able to fix it in less than 15 minutes and for $4.99. Locate the SRV ( this is the actuator on the intake closest to the center line of the engine) and disconnect the electrical connector by sliding the red clip on the side toward the wires. You will then push down on the release tab and will be able to pull the connector off. Remove the four 10 mm hex bolts and pull the actuator straight off. There is resistance from an o-ring but it does come out. You will notice oil and crud running out just wipe this up. Spray intake manifold cleaner on the flapper valve and wiggle it to loosen the crud. This may take a couple of minutes but you will feel it free up and move effortlessly and the you are finished with the flapper. wipe the actuator off and turn the rectangular stem sticking out by hand back and forth to free it up as well. Wipe the o-ring off and put it on the actuator body and insert the actuator drive tab in the flapper valve and adjust the position that you pulled it off from. install the bolts lightly torquing them back into the (plastic!!!) housing. re-connect the plug and reset the red tab. All done. The trouble light should clear. If not you may need to replace the actuator (around $150) using the same process.
Does anyone know where to start on a check engine light P0103 chrysler 300 ?
The honest best thing to do, to save time and money, is take it to a dodge dealer and get them to diagnos the problem, they have equipment that can pin point the actual problem were obmII readers only tell you what the codes are. they will probably charge 70 to 80 dolars to diagnose your car, but the end result is you know what parts to change.
Car makes a click click but won't turn over..It has been cold
If battery is flat (discharged) that could be one of the problems. Charge the battery or try jump starting from another vehicle, if possible. If it still don't start after trying those two things, it's probably the starter gone bad. If it starts after charging or jumping, have your battery load tested and your alternators output checked. Make sure you didn't leave something on for example headlights or something plugged into accessory outlet, could be the reason battery went flat. In a nut shell, one of these caused this. Bad battery, bad alternator, bad starter or something draiedn battery. Hope this helps.
My 2007chrysler is stuck in park
Its the 'pink' thing. On the front of the shifter, there is a small cable that allows a pink cam to move, and unlock your shifter. It has broken. This pink cam keeps you from shifting unless your key is turned on. Replace it. If you need to get going, you will need a10 mm socket and driver. Use a small screwdriver, pop the shift bezel off, unsnap the chrome cover, remove the shifter by the 4 each 10mm screws, remove the pink cam, re-assemble, and go. Replace the cam with a new one when you can. Good luck! Mark. Should take a few minutes to perform.
HAVE CHRYSLER 300 THAT WILL NOT COME OUT OF PARK,
Its the 'pink' thing. Remove the shifter knob, use a small screwdriver to pop off shifter bezel, un snap shifter cover, 4 clips, two on passenger side, two on driver side, remove 4 each 10 mm nuts holding shifter to the car. O.K. in the front of the shifter, is a pink cam, that prevents the shifter from moving, if the car is not on. It has broken. The small cable on your left controls it. Remove it. (disables it) Reassembel, and get the hell out of there!. Mark, 209-613-0092. Took me 15 min.
