My gearshift is stuck in

Your vehicle has a brake interlock system which simply means that the vehicle cannot be taken out of park unless the key is in the on position and the vrake is pressed in. I would start by checking your fuses as well as your brake lights. I believe if a brake light is out this will happen. You can over ride the system to be able to drive it until you get the repair of what's causing this taken care of. below is instructions as well as a picture for you to show you how. I hope this helps and good luck.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you have the battery charged. The battery may be weak that's why it won't supply power to the starter.
If problem still persists then it's got to be the starter itself. If the starter is faulty, it won't turn the flywheel even you have a strong battery. If that's the case then the starter should be replaced.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

My gear shift on my 2007 Chrysler 300C is stuck in

Hi,DO NOT GET AND PAY FOR A TOW TRUCK Inside the shifter a locking arm has the tab broken off which holds the spring. Quick on the spot fix is to undo the two screws under the rubber cover above shifter follow the cable on the left hand side to the connector and apply pressure at the same time you shift. Long term fix no cost at all, remove shifter open and you will see the problem with the spring. The tab breaks of the side and all you need to do is PRE DRILL a hole in the top of the rocker for a self tapper screw to hold the spring, reassemble fixed

Chrysler 300 downshifted going down

it sounds like the transmission has gone into what they call limp in mode which indicates a problem with the transmission.you will have to have a scan tool put on it to pull the code out of the tcm(transmission control module) which will turn on the engine light.at the same time it may show a code for the temp control.

Pulled battery terminal on Chrysler 300c 2006.

If your vehicle is equipped with the "Express-Up" feature, the door module probably lost its calibration when the battery was disconnected. To recalibrate this feature, roll the windows all the way down. Then hold the button to the up position. Continue to hold the button up for two seconds after the window has reached the full up position. Roll the window down again and repeat this a second time. The express-up feature should now work for that window. Repeat this procedure for the other front window.
NOTE: the REAR windows are NOT EQUIPPED with this feature.

I Feel "Slop" in the drive train, is this normal?

I am level2 chrysler tech and worked at dealership for 2 years....whenever you put it in gear you hear a slight cling or clang ? Yes most of the 300's do have this ...It is nothing to worry about because drivelines are designed to have a certain amount of free play...this is not up and down slop that you hear but it is left to right freeplay.....I have checked quite many with same complaint and all have checked to be the same...u-joints that are made these days are sealed units and they never really go bad...unless abused driving is apparent....So have no fear it is just normal freeplay
But it never hurts to have them checked between service intervals.............I hope this helps.........
