A check engine light means the computer found a problem. If the light is steady on, the problem may not be too bad, like a loose gas cap. If the check engine light is blinking, that's a major issue and you need to stop driving and have it fixed or major engine damage could occur.

Hi, it is on the bell houseing near where the bolts connect bell houseing to engine on the driver passenger side, all the best.

Check your transmission mounts. Adjust the e braked by lifting the handle up and down 20 + times.

Check the power fuse to the computer. If the computer does not get power the engine light will not work. If the computer does not work it cannot ground the relay to the fuel pump.

Check fuel pressure regulator for a rupture by pulling off the vacuum line and see if it is full of fuel.

You may have a bad coolant temp sensor but the only way to prove it is took hook into scanner that can read data, also check the fuel pressure. Note if the ect is bad it will be reading -45 no matter what the temp is it will get better as the lazy sensor catches up. I hope this helps, Take care

To clear the check engine light, take the positive battery terminal off for about 30 seconds. Re install and start it up. It should be off.

does this happen when using the remote to lock/unlock vehicle ? if so thats perfectly normal as long as it's only for about 15 seconds or so

IAC was a good guess... ALSO sounds more like a throttle position sensor... (TPS is my GUESS... but it is your MONEY and this EASTER-EGG hunting style trouble shooting can typically cause MORE TROUBLES than fixing). (( but still preferred over taking it to a "DEALER" )). My BEST suggestion... Get your codes read... and AVOID the pitfall of needlessly replacing those rather expensive OXYGEN SENSORS ($$$$)...
