A check engine light means the computer found a problem. If the light is steady on, the problem may not be too bad, like a loose gas cap. If the check engine light is blinking, that's a major issue and you need to stop driving and have it fixed or major engine damage could occur.
Check the power fuse to the computer. If the computer does not get power the engine light will not work. If the computer does not work it cannot ground the relay to the fuel pump.
hello
u'd need a proper manual for this in my opinion
like there are plenty of dealers and online shops that deal in those..
you can get some free at reliable-store and it;s actually really illustrative
You may have a bad coolant temp sensor but the only way to prove it is took hook into scanner that can read data, also check the fuel pressure. Note if the ect is bad it will be reading -45 no matter what the temp is it will get better as the lazy sensor catches up. I hope this helps, Take care
This video will show you how to check the intermediate steering shaft in your Jeep Wrangler. This procedure would also be the same in a Jeep CJ, YJ, TJ If your intermediate steering shaft is worn or loose, it should be replaced immediately so that it doesn't fail while driving your Jeep. If you are running oversize tires on you Jeep and the steering shaft is loose, it should be replaced immediately.
The best solution you'll get from books at www.reliable-store.com
These are books containing info on repair, service, troubleshooting, parts info, assembling dissemble, removal, error/fault codes, wiring d iagrams and everything on any vehicles cars, atv, trucks. forklifts, boats, excavators etc
IAC was a good guess...
ALSO sounds more like a throttle position sensor...
(TPS is my GUESS... but it is your MONEY and
this EASTER-EGG hunting style trouble shooting
can typically cause MORE TROUBLES than fixing).
(( but still preferred over taking it to a "DEALER" )).
My BEST suggestion... Get your codes read...
and AVOID the pitfall of needlessly replacing
those rather expensive OXYGEN SENSORS
($$$$)...
Doesn't cost you a thing to bring those trouble
(DTC) codes back here and give us another
chance... (I'm just saying).
Look at the costs at ROCKAUTO... (great catalog)
