Driver side floor water leak

Well, you are on the right path; the rubber seal around the windshield could indeed be deteriorating...what may be happening is the water is coming through the cowling and pooling up on the seal there...as the water sits, the seal deteriorates and eventually you will see water like you are now.

My recommendation to you is to take your Edge to a shop and ask them to look for a leak at the bottom seal of the windshield.

Is there any breathing hole for the water pump

Yes there is. It is on the underside of the water pump and will leak water when the water pump seal has failed. Then it is time to replace the pump as repair is more expensive than replace

Is their a resistor in series of the blower motor that could be the problem of not blowing air

Resistors are for reducing voltage to anything in an electrical circuit, and what you describe sounds like a motor that is giving out. When hot, it cuts out or quits working, but cools down and begins again. This is most likely due to the windings having shorted out somewhere in the windings. Some motors have a breaker switch located "inside" the motor casing.
