do you want me to guess? or do you want DIY testing advice. mean, it means bad spark, from Ign.coil 1, (2 cyl wasted spark) DIY , actual tests... per FSM. get one. only 1 code. and comes back after clearing it? full scan done? how many miles on it, when was the last full tune up page 412 opr, guide in glove box , did you do the 102k mile service? new spark plugs and 6v wire sets? , now be the the time not a new coil pack that be last choice. p2 means factory code, and seems your scan tool works right. many dont. or are blind to them or get them all wrong. same car as my main car... JK, i have the full JK, FSM. factory service manual, go it day 2. the first thing to do, when doing DIY , is to open the hood and see what engine you have, as diff, engines have diffr, EFI systems. mine has the Trenton 3.8L V6. with MAP and TBW system. TBW is throttle by wire. (map sensor is for speed density system) P2302 P= powertrain 2= jeep private code, not USA fed, spec EPA codes. 3= Fuel and Air Metering (Injector Circuit) 02= Ignition Coil 1 Secondary Circuit- Insufficient Ionization 02= Ignition Coil 1 Secondary Circuit- Insufficient Ionization this car has a coil pack and is WASTED SPARK 3 coils 6 spark plugs. wasted. (google what that means) but is important to know because either spark plug can disturb the current path here. if my 6v did this, id do the 102k mile service. with NGK parts,. or Bosch. we , usually you get P03xx codes with it. misfire. i open my fsm ,there are 6 tests. for this 1 failure it says the spark duration is too short or nothing at all. ill not type out all 6 tests nor the logic, (alldata.com has it) step 1 is to : clear all DTC and key on (no start) scan it, do you get 2302? now, not running, that is correct the ecu test coil primary , before running, amazing, if yes, the next steps are to see if the coil is bad (open primary) or the ASD drive is dead.

Sounds like just a flat battery to me.? Booster-start should get it going, or take the battery out & get it recharged.? Best of luck

Sounds like the starter. You can try several things but the main idea is to start it to be able to bring it to a mechanic. Disconnect the battery and push on the brake pedal. This will drain the power from the vehicle. Reconnect the battery and try to start the car. The theory behind this is the starter solenoid could be stuck energized. You can also locate the starter slightly tap on the starter and then try to start the vehicle. Also if the vehicle has sacked for some time before you purchased it the battery may not have the cranking amps necessary to start the vehicle. The electrical gizmos will work but it will not be enough to crank the engine. Check the battery is fully charged and possibly try to hook up jumper cables to another vehicle or a jump start Appliance.

You must get the system scanned for fault codes, sounds like the electronic throttle control has a failure.

Go to an advanced auto or an autozone parts store, if there is one near you, they can hook up a code scanner for you.

get off rap station.cured.is this audio system stock or not.?we cant guess that ever.nor see it.so if not stock and wired in car wrong, then wrong happens.if battery is low, same deal.did you run the battery flat in aCCESSORIES?we cant guess that either....

why? got DTC errors? please post them. just curious , me too. 5speed stick, there is no such transmission here. ok JK08 ,usa. 4wd? mine is 6 speed stick, the 5speed option is the automatic. 6sp is DEH trans.or NSG 370 with NV241 transfer case. my wild guess is its really a 6 speed manual, with 4wd. am I correct>? and is USA, not an Export. my fsm does not cover, 6 speed VSS, oops. i wonder if the VSS on the 6peed, uses speed from the ABS. the automatic vss is on the left side of the tranny case. and input speed and engine rpm speed. but that is A/T. M/T as your post clearly states is another matter. the parts list for the 370 box shows no sensors at all ,just 1 reverse switch, then i look at the car 241 transfer case then the parts list. it too , dont have a sensor. only , 4wd switch and is not a speed sensor. so that leaves 3 more, front axle, no. rear axle ,no (only a lock up switch option) leaving what, ABS. must be the genius at JEEP said, one day, well gee abs knows speed, why not just get that for free on all 4speeds. the A/T needs the sensors to shift right, but not any manual ever. The electric drawings for jeep jk08 show no speed sensors at all on the M/T. Most American-made cars have a fuse box under the dash. Check under dash at driver's side firewall. May have a cover that you will need to open. Also see fuses under hood in area around the steering column.

With the truck not running, but the key on move the shift lever through the sequence - f the fuse blows you have a wire getting pinched by the shift mechanism. Trace the linkage and look for a scraped wire or squashed wire. If it only happens when the engine is running a wire is rubbing on the engine or trans and look for the same - a scraped wire or squashed wire.

Check the headlight relay in the fuse box or under the bonnet

It sounds as if the door switch that toggles on and off for open door or closed door is defective or it is a problem with the timer associated with same.
