When put truck in drive my rear end seems to slip just a little. I've own two other Silverado and they didn't do that. It doesn't make any noise and drive good, should I be concerned?

If the rear end is a posi traction, it has a clutch set in it. If those clutches are worn it may slip a bit. Otherwise, check your transmission. That's the most like culprit. In the future, when asking questions about vehicles, please include year/make/model/drive train(engine, trans) info for better results. Silverado has been around for 50 years so this info is important.

It is on a 2008 silverado 1500 5.3l with 4l60e when I would activate tow/haul i would only have first and second gear and then it would go to neutral if i let off of the gas,

I have some advice for you that I see hasn't been offered yet. How about trying this: 1.) You'll need to get an inexpensive Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner like the one in the link/pics included. They're about $30 and work great requiring nothing more than your phone or anybtanlet, laptop life , etc. with Bluetooth capability. I've used it with iPhones and Galaxy Tablets, & Multiple Android Phones, a few laptops, Etc. These are very universal if you get the right type: I prefer the VeePeak OBD2 BLE Scanner. 2.) It plugs into your OBD2 Port and connects via Bluetooth. The VeePeak BLE OD2 Scanner does all that most of us will ever need, I've used it in a professional setting too and as my go to OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner, & checked Codes on Countless Vehicles with my iPhone primarily. You can leave these devices plugged in at all times with no issues/problems. 3.) Data from all of the individual sensors is shown in a dashboard format, a graph, or just numerical values. 4.) Use the data logging feature and drive it around to get some readings from the electronics. 5.) You'll need to show this data to someone who relay knows how how to read and decipher it, in person is great but technology makes this easier. You can easily just Email this data to a professional who is a known expert. I can reccomemd one in particular who is the real deal. 6.) Custom Tuners and Progammmers at Performance Shops all around are invaluable with situations Ike this. You've got to get the information from your truck to someone who specialize in GM Trucks which would be easily found, like Nelson Performance who are the Best of the Best or Close in any case, BlackBear Performane, or a similar specialist. There are a few others, but Nelson Performance will send you a data logging unit to use and you can just hook it up & drive around to capture the data, remove the device they provide and send it back to them or in many cases you just email the data to them and things move forward from there. If you have Scanner or data logging capability through any device that's even better! 7.) Call these guys @ Nelson Performance, or a similar business that specializes in GM Vehicles, these guys are Master CERTIFIED with decades of experience. Check it out! Theyll get serious power gains for you and better hasn't mileage too while keeping everything "safe" and on your improvements that GM can't authorize as they'd be violating by strict epa and other similar laws. Talk to these geaeheads, you'll be pleasantly surprised! If if this helps in an in any way please click the GREEN "Helpful" Icon! Hello i repalced the ypke and yoke seal on my 2003 4x4 silverado and and its still leaking how can i fix this and does anyone know the specs fortighning the nut back on the yok

I hope you were not in the middle of no where when this happened. First before you take off the nut mark it with a scribe so you can see where the not sets on the pinion shaft then count the number of turns it takes to remove the nut. When tightening the nut back, just realign the marks. Since the seal is still leaking it may have been damaged. Make sure to lube it before installation. I usually fill the area where the spring sets with grease. Watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lD8QNQATrNs

PROGRAMMED A NEW KEY FOB FOR MY 2005 SILVERADO USING THE PROPER STEPS ACTS LIKE IT ACCEPTED THE NEW FOB BUT WILL ONLY LOCK AND WONT UNLOCK. WORKS FINE MANUALLY, NOW EVEN MY OLD ONE ISNT WORKING ??

What are the proper steps ? Method 1 - No Tools Required, Program All Transmitters Important: All transmitters which are to be recognized by the PDM must be programmed in a single programming sequence. When using this program method, all previously programmed transmitters will be erased upon the receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter. The order in which the transmitters are programmed will determine its numbering position within the PDM memory. The first transmitter programmed will be transmitter #1, and the second transmitter programmed will be transmitter #2. The number stamped on the transmitter case is for reference only; #2 can be programmed as #1, or vice versa. Additional unnumbered transmitters are also available. Close all the vehicle doors. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder. Press and hold the door unlock switch. While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF. Release the door unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode. Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter. Repeat the previous step to program up to 4 transmitters. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter programming mode. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.

Where are grounds for airbag sensors on a 2 009 Silverado 3500hd. I have replaced the front airbag sensor but still get code B0091-00.

sensor that was replaced per the code scanner , That's where you made your mistake . No code tell's you to replace a part without testing . Did you do factory trouble shooting per code diagnostic testing procedures ? The inflatable restraint front end sensor utilizes a unidirectional 2-wire circuit. The front end sensor modulates current on the interface to send ID, state of health, and deployment commands to the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM). The SDM serves as a power source and a ground for the front end sensor. When the ignition is turned ON and input power from the SDM is first detected, the front end sensor responds by performing internal diagnostics and sending an ID to the SDM. The SDM considers the ID to be valid if the response time is less than 5 seconds. The front end sensor continually communicates status messages to the SDM, which determines if a fault is present in the front end sensor circuit. When a fault is detected, the SDM may reset the front end sensor up to 2 times by removing and reapplying power to it. If the fault is still present, the SDM will set a DTC. B0091 00 • The front end sensor has been shorted to voltage, open, or shorted to ground. • The front end sensor current has been above 23 mA for longer than 5 milliseconds. • The SDM has not received a message from the front end sensor for more than 375 milliseconds. Circuit/System Testing Important: When removing the connectors, inspect for damage or corrosion. Damage or corrosion to the following requires repair or replacement of the affected component/connector: • Front end sensor • SDM module • Front end sensor wiring harness connector • SDM wiring harness connector Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the front end sensor and the SDM. Ignition ON, test for less than 1 volt between the front end sensor signal circuit terminal 2 and ground. ? If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. Ignition ON, test for less than 1 volt between the front end sensor low reference circuit terminal 1 and ground. ? If greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for a short to voltage. Test for infinite resistance between the front end sensor signal circuit terminal 2 and ground. ? If less than the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. Test for infinite resistance between the front end sensor low reference circuit terminal 1 and ground. ? If less than the specified value, test the low reference circuit for a short to ground. Test for less than 1 ohm between the SDM signal circuit terminal 38 and the front end sensor circuit terminal 2 harness connector. ? If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. Test for less than 1 ohm between the SDM low reference circuit terminal 36 and the front end sensor circuit terminal 1 harness connector. ? If greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the front end sensor. Reconnect all SIR components. Ignition ON, verify the DTC is not set as current. ? If the DTC resets as current, replace the SDM.

I have a 2003 silverado with aftermarket remote starter FCC ID:MYKTX... and the remote start is not working. Where can I find an owners manual.

from the maker, ask them only and even ask for upgrades. and they are dangerous devices. even ******* in some states. never use one parked inside a garage. CO the silent killler, etc. the good ones (and oxymoron) have lots of inputs now that make it go dead. even door locks and more, OEM RS , blocks for huge list of things even any DTC errors from any computer in the car takes it off line, <<<<< see what OEM did very telling that.

Where is the cigarette auxillary lighter fuse located on the fuse box of a 2015 silverado

If you have your owner's manual, look for APO fuse (auxiliary power outlet). If no manual look at the underwood fuse box cover, it lists all fuses, and the left side dash panel fuse cover. Chevy calls them APO now.

My 02 chevy Silverado wont start.

Yes, that is literally the sole purpose for the neutral safety switch. To prevent the vehicle from starting in gear. If the neutral safety switch is malfunctioning, there is a very good change that the vehicle will not crank.

I have a 1996 Chevy Silverado. My heater went out and when I got the truck back from the shop, my bright lights, taillights and dash lights weren’t working. I’ve checked fuses but still can’t find the solution. Any ideas?

If they replaced the heater core, they had to remove the dash and disconnect a lot of wires. Take it back to who did your work and have them recheck their work.
