Loose belt - lose fan belt, loose power steering belt are the main cause for the high pitch whine in car. The belts tend to stretch out over time and loosen; the turning engine "slips" the belt upon acceleration of the engine. Starting up goes from a dead stop to fast running - leading to more slippage. Manually rotate engine (socket on crankshaft). Make sure vehicle is in neutral is standard and then try to start if vehicle starts probably a chipped tooth if not probably a bad starter drive .

i have a 2008 ford f250. when i pull my travel trailer the instrument gauge says trailer disconnected and it also says trailer wiring malfunction. then my trailer brake systems turns red and blinks. i took my ford to the dealer they said the truck is fine it is the trailer. than I took my trailer in to get looked at they said the trailer is ok and that 2008 fords have problems with the stock electric brake system what do i do

check if your radio have a factory anti-teft code./then ckeck for an incorrect wiring conection.

sounds like an egr valve problem, pull the egr valve out of the intake (2 8mm bolts and pry out with a "ladyslipper" style pry bar, it it is covered with thick soot then this is probably your problem, this problem will often not trigger a code
