2008 Nissan Maxima Questions & Answers
What causes melting of the ignition coils?
Multiple modules send and receive digital data along a data bus. If one of the modules shorts out, it can disrupt data flow for all modules on the bus. I'd have to look up the wiring for your car (which I'm not gonna do), but I highly doubt that the BCM is responsible for ign coil burnout. That's almost always caused by driving on worn spark plugs.
How can tell which tpms is bad?
You cannot, it takes a special radio communication tool that talks to the sensors one at a time to see what they are doing. The tool is not cheap and most dealers charge to have your sensors checked. The best thing is to find a tire shop that has one.
