"2008 nissan rogue problem shifting
It is the battery. It is bad and shorting out. Check the manual for directions to trouble shoot until you replace it. There is a small button that you need to remove next to the shifter, place the key in the hole and hold for about 10 seconds. It is a shift release.
I had the same problem. Fixed!
42,300 miles and shifter will
Yes, I have a 08 Rogue and have the same problem. At the Nissan dealer as we speak. They say the solenoid and shifter mechanism is all one unit and has to be replaced. Cost $761.60 parts and labor. The more I here on this site I don't think it is one unit. It sounds like you can replace the solenoid only. Any more thoughts??
I have a 2008 Nissan Rogue with the Intelligent
I also have a 2008 Nissan Rogue, and my intelligent keys quit working too. However, I do not believe it's the batteries, as one of my keys has never been used. I checked the fuses, but they are fine.
We have a motor home
first thing is you have to know the weight of the motorhome..and you must know the towing capacity of the nissan..
but if and when you decide to tow the motor home always keep in mind .especilly if you have never towed anything like that before. That when big trucks pass you the trailer will want to sway back and forth.so always keep that in mind.....and safe driving....
My Nissan Rogue will not
Make sure the brake light work, the shifter lock gets power through brake switch, no power to brake lights means no power to the shift lock release, if theres no power then check all your fuses but if lights light up when brake is applied then you may have a bad shift lock, hope this helps and also is it on in incline if so a little force may be needed to get it out of park.
How do fix the service
how many miles on it?? this may be warantee issue if you have less than 60k miles. you most likely need new throttle assembly
How do I reset the
Put the recommended air pressure in all five(spare) of your tires. That will shut the light off, if there is not a problem with the tire pressure monitoring system itself.
Gear shift solenoid bad
not an easy one to repair if you are a novice. it may not actually be the "shift lock solenoid". there is a small switch on the right side of the shifter assembly, which i have found bad connection at, which fixed the shift lock solenoid malfunction. not an easy one to fix if you dont know what you are doing.
Won't shift from park, even
If your brake lights are lighting when you press the brake pedal then your gear shifter lock solenoid could be bad and need replacing. If your brake lights do not light up when you press the brake pedal, then your stop/brake fuse is probably blown.
Car will not come out of park.
Your gear shifter release solenoid must not be engaging, to release the gear selector from park. Either the fuse for that solenoid is bad or the solenoid itself has gone bad. Check the fuses in the fusebox first, to see if any one that's relevant to that shifter selector is burned out.
I did my own oil
take the negitive side of the battery off for 15min. and put it back on this should reset it.
