2007 Dodge Magnum, RT/AWD - Front Driver side
Check the Brakes first. Are the pads worn down to metal. Is the Caliper Stuck (open)?
Raise and Support the Front and Rear (because of AWD) of the vehicle.
Remove the left front tire. Make sure the Parking Brake is engaged. Place the lug nuts back on the lug studs. Place the Vehicle in Neutral. Turn the wheel (without the tire on) and listen for where the noise is coming from. A bad bearing will feel rough (not smooth) and sound 'crackly' when trying to turn the one wheel. Make sure it is not from the CVJ.
If not smooth: Remove and Replace the wheel bearing. And yes you can do it yourself saving you about $150-$200 dollars. It is a bolt-on (4 bolts) bearing. Bolt Heads should be on the back side of the steering knuckle.
Remove the Brake Caliper, Caliper Brace, and Rotor.
Remove the 4-bolts (turn the wheels left and right to better access these bolt heads) and slip the bearing off the Axle. You may have to hit the bearing to loosen it.
Dip stick broke and cant get it out whats the
Hi:
Depending where the dipstick broke off, you possibly can unbolt the dipstick tube from the engine, and hopefully the remnant of the dipstick is sticking out part way. If not , then you have no choice but to loosen your entire oil pan on the bottom of the engine.
Myengine light came on, i only have 28-29,000
If the light was flashing when it came on, then it means your engine is misfiring.
A solid light can mean anything.
This
light comes on when the computer detects a
fault of some sort in its diagnostic tests. If it keeps detecting this
issue, the light will remain off. If the light turns off, then it has
detected that the issue may no longer be present.
In
order to find out what the exact reason was for your light, You need to
have your car computer scanned to retrieve the code that
the computer would have stored when the light triggered. Most garages
will do this free of charge. The code will tell you what may have
caused the light to initially go on
