2008 cobalt accessory wire color for car radio install?

I looked that up as I was puzzled myself, and here is what I found: This: Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: The radio harness does not provide a switched power source. Run a wire to the fuse box for switched power. Or this: Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Run a primary wire from the back of your radio to your to the steering column and use the brown wire in the ignition switch harness.

Where do I check my transmission fluid in my 2008 Chevy cobalt?

On the passenger side. It's under the car. Look where the axle goes into the transmission. To the right of it is an 11 mm plug to remove. Start the car, let it warm up. The car has to be level. with the car running, Remove the plug, fluid should come out in a small stream or steady drip.

Is there a in-line filter on the a/c preasure line 2008 cobalt?

it is called a receiver drier and is located at the condenser the indications are that there is not enough gas in the system the next thing is a blockage at the TX valve there are 2 switches that control the ac compressor. one is a high pressure switch which activates when the line pressure becomes excessive form --too much gas --blocked system and the other is a low pressure switch which activates when there is not enough gas ---blockage in the system to the compressor and leak in the system If you have not had it charged professionally then there is every possibility that it has too much gas or the wrong gas was used

Chevy Cobalt TPMS issue

Most GM cars can be done by holding both lock and unlock buttons on the key fob. The horn will then sound and the you let the air out of the tire. The hot will sound once detected. Start at the left front and then the right front, right rear and left rear. The horn will sound again indicating the procedure has been completed.

2008 cobalt cranks but won't start

If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, check for a fuel injector pulse. Can you check for applicable trouble codes? You need an obd2 code reader, at the least, to check codes.

My cobalt cranks but won't start

sometimes engines can crank but just cant crank fast enough to start. try jump starting it. if that doesnt work try unplugging the mass airflow sensor and starting it. if that works could be a bad mass air flow sensor. if that doesnt work (if you are mechanically inclined enough) try spraying a little starting fluid or flammable break clean into the throttle body and try to start it to see if it starts and then dies. if this is the case then you have a fuel issue (most likely the fuel pump). if this doesnt work you'll need to get a code scanner to see if there are any codes. if there are try to figure out the ones that seem like they are related to the engine running (aka crank sensor, coil circuits, or lean and rich codes ect.) usually in this instance you'll have to take it to a shop to figure it out

Check engine code ps502 speed sensor

It was causing speedometer and power steering failure. The car was drive able but I steered it holding with both hands as the steering felt a little weird. Normally this means the vehicle speed sensor, also called the speedometer sensor, has failed. In my case it was easy to fix once I got under the car and blindly felt around for the speed sensor because it is hidden on the upper area of the differential housing. If it was the actual part failed I think It would have required service at a shop because for safety reasons I just would dare trying to change the sensor w/o the car being on a lift. I had apparently the knocked connector loose as it was dangling under the steering knuckle around the rack. While under the car on my back but my head raised up , using my sense of touch and imagination I was able to reconnect the sensor. After about 5 miles of driving the trouble cleared up and after about 30 more miles the check engine light went out.

2008 Cobalt 2.2. Where is the expansion valve located?

At the firewall on the pass side where the a/c lines enter the evaporator core inside the dash. The expansion valve is always located at the evaporator core inlet and outlet tubes.

Hi I have a 2008 cobalt that the fan speed dose not work I've changed fan itself the resitor I now have it bypassed with toggle switch temporary any ideas

My first guess would be the control module, if the fan has no power and the 30 amp fuses are ok. The blower is grounded to the body and gets power thru the HVAC control module and the body control module. There are relays and fuses involved. The high speed relay bypasses the resistor. You may need a wiring diagram and a book to diagnose it.
