How do I replace the passenger side headlight (lowbeam) on a 2008 Subaru Tribeca?
if the battery sits in front you will have to remove it.most imports now a days are like this.once the battery is removed you should have ample space to remove the bulb. just make sure that you use a clean rag to install the new one as you must not touch the glss part of the bulb with your fingers or oilly rags.befopre disconnecting the battery make sure you dont need a code to restart the car or use the radio.
New 2008 Tribeca uses oil
i have heard that some subaru uses oil, due to the high performance, or it may be a leak in the piston gasket, until it blows black keep going, another way you can see if there is a prob with thje pistons, is check is the emisions go to an MOT teasting center they will put it on and will tell you if you have problem, just ask them to test the emishions, then you can take the problem from there good luck
2006 subaru B9 Tribeca Error 66
Hello, I know exactly what your talking about! and why no one else
did... The error code is being displayed on your trip/odo LCD screen at
the bottom of your right gauge pod if I remember correctly. Only, it\'s
not Er 66... it\'s (Er bb) which is a malfunction with your vacuum pump
system. I truly hope this is the same concern you are asking about, if
so I am happy I could help. If it is a different problem please let me
know so I can look into this matter further. I\'ve added an "error
chart guide" so you will have proof this time when/if you decide to
return to the dealer... Good luck!! and I hope this info
helps...(subytech1)...
2008 subaru tribeca - my temperature indicator
I do feel you are being told the truth here sounds like they need to replace the speedo head as its like a mini computer inside its all electronic ,but first i would check the earth wire as this would stop it all from working and the garage if its a dealer would replace unit anyway as more profit involved in unit changing than repairing the earth cable which they would have to do anyway when fitting the new one but a new unit at dealer prices ?? need i say anymore
How do I replace a left hand side low beam light
Inspect/Replace
There can be slight variations in procedure from one model to another when replacing headlights. For instance, on some models the turn signal light assembly must be removed before the headlight can be replaced. Overall, however, the procedure does not differ much from the following typical instructions.
Make sure the replacement bulb is the same type and part number as the one that is being replaced.
Comparing the old and ther replacement headlamps.
To Replace:

- Remove the light from the housing. Disconnect the wiring connector from the back of the light.
- Push the wiring connector onto the prongs at the rear of the new light.

- Place the retaining ring over the light and install the retaining ring screws. Tighten them slightly.
- Check the aim of the headlight and adjust it, if necessary.
- Install the headlight bezel. Secure it with the retaining screws.
