How do I change the oil and fuel filters on My
Is this a diesel? I just changed my oil and oil filter. You have to remove the plastic engine top cover first and you will see the oil filter in the front right. Black with hex nut on top (my 1 1/4 AF socket fitted). You have to disconnect the bracket holding some wiring. Pull the wiring forward to access the nut on top of the filter. Undo and remove/replace filter.
Under the car you will find a small hatch in the underside plastic cover held in place by three 10 mm bolts. Remove this to access the 19 mm drain plug. Drain old oil and refill with 4 ltrs 5/30 fully synthetic. Top up if necessary after running engine but DO NOT overfill.
The fuel filter is on the bulkhead at the back of the engine on the right side. I wont be changing that for a while!
Replaced oxygen sensor, squirrel went for a spin.
remove the negative cable @ battery for 30 seconds to see if it clears the check engine light ,if it doesnt it will need to be cleared with a scanner-warning your factory radio will loose the function code when you remove the battery cable, make sure you have the code otherwise your radio will not work

Smell of burning oil inside vehicle
I would try to tighten the valve covers. If they seep a bit because of loose little bolts that is directly above the exhaust manifold which would give a whiff of smoke.
Service Engine Soon
Go to an automotive parts store like O'Reilly that loans code readers. This will give you the problem code and description so you know what is going on :)
The oil change pre set is 5000 miles is this
Yes it is. On your newer vehicles the factory has set your oil change light to come on at 5k, due to the technology in semi synthetic oils. Mazda uses a semi senthetic oil from the factory. I still recommend changing your oil every 3k. You may also consult your owners manual for the recommended service interval and adhere to it. As long as you adhere to manufacturer recommendations and keep your oil change reciepts, you should be ok if anything were to happen.
Can I purchase and have fitted the extra seats for
yes I would look in a salvage yard for the seat maybe ebay.com all the bolt holes should already be in the car body so unless you are picky about exact matching seat you could do this your self around $200.00-300.00
