Rick, most vehicles had a pressure sensor to prohibit the a/c compressor from engaging unless sufficient refrigerant is contained within the system. This protects your a/c compressor from "running dry". You need to take it to someone or somewhere to have your a/c refrigerant charge checked with gauges before any further troubleshooting can be accomplished.

  • Disconnect the negative battery cable from the terminal on the battery. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers by unscrewing or unclipping them.
  • 2 Remove the steering wheel by lifting off the center cover, disconnecting the horn wire and removing the retaining nut and washer. Make a mark on the steering wheel spline and the wheel itself so you can line it back up precisely. Pull the steering wheel straight back to remove from the shaft.
  • 3 Take off windshield wiper and turn signal switches by pulling them off as you did the steering wheel and disconnect the wiring. Slide the spacer sleeve off of the steering column.
  • 4 Unscrew the ignition switch mounting screws. Pull out the ignition switch. Disconnect the wiring connector from back of the ignition switch. Simply loosen the tabs and pull it out.
  • 5 Insert your key into the ignition. Turn the ignition switch to the locked position. Depress the retaining pin with a small screwdriver and turn the key to the Off position to free the cylinder. Once it is free, turn the key to lock position and remove the key and key cylinder.
  • 6 Install your old key cylinder into the new ignition switch assembly. Make sure the contacts in the cylinder and assembly line up. Reattach wiring to ignition switch, slide it into place, screw in mounting screws and reassemble steering wheel and switches.

    1. Turn ignition switch to ON (II) position. 2. Press SELECT button repeatedly until engine oil life display or service message is displayed. 3. Press the RESET button for about 10 seconds. A "MAINT RESET" message will appear. Select appropriate answer - "MAINT RESET >N" (NO) or "MAINT RESET >Y" (YES) by pressing the select button. ">N" or ">Y" is displayed on the outside temperature display. 4. Select the "MAINT RESET >Y" (YES), and press and hold RESET button again to reset engine oil life to "100".

To remove the roof rack from Honda Ridgeline .The instructions are as follows:--
  • Find the plastic trim panel underneath each cross brace on the Honda Ridgeline's roof rack and pull it off with your hands to release the clips that secure the panel. This will expose the Torx-head bolts that hold the rails in place.
  • Unbolt the bolts using the 3/8-inch ratchet and a Torx-head socket. Repeat the process for the other side of the rack that you want to remove, then lift the rack out of place.
  • Push the plastic trim panel back in place using your hands, making sure that the clips pop securely into the Honda Ridgeline's roof rack.
To install the roof rack reverse the procedure.

  • Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
