it sounds as if someone has removed the cabin air filter. to check the filter, remove the glove box - to do this, open the glove box, you will see two tabs on either side that stop it from opening any further. on the outside of the box, you will see two tabs that you pinch together and pull the stops out of the glove box. it will then flop all the way open. directly behind the glove box, you will see a small access door - aprox. 1" high 6" wide. open this by releasing the small tab on the left, it will then swing open and off.you should now be able to pull the filter carrier out. some of these trucks are equipped with 2 filters, once you pull the first one out the other slides from the right to the left then out. if these filters are damaged or dirty, replace them. pay attention to the air flow direction of filter, it is marked on the side of the filter. good luck!

You'll need a 1/2 inch socket wrench to fit on the inlet of the idler pulley. You'll also need an extension bar to lengthen the socket wrench because the wrench alone won't be long enough to reach. Apply pressure to the pulley to take the tension off the belt. Slide the belt off and then install the new one using the diagram under the hood as a guide. Check this thread for some photos:

Most likely the problem is due to the little white wheel inside the pivot point on the seat. This little white wheel holds the other end of the cable which is attached to the legs. This wheel likes to snap in half - and is a noted problem on the Ridgeline (just ask a dealer). Want even better news? You CANNOT buy this part unless you purchase the ENTIRE seat frame for a mere $325. You can purchase EVERYTHING else in the assemble but this cheap plastic wheel. Sounds fishy but that is what Honda has decided to do to their consumers. Calling the Honda customer service number won't help you so don't bother!

chances are the dealer isnt going to fix the problem without you paying out of pocket. Check and make sure that you have a warranty or not before you do. Or you could also check and see if there are any recalls for your particular vehicle, ( make model and all that ) Sometimes vehicle owners are unaware that their vehicle has a recall on something and continue to drive their vehicle without knowing that their vehicle has a recall. Look into these different options and see what comes up. I hope this helped you.
