You can take it to Autozone or O'reillys and they will scan the engine for free. They usually will identify the part that is bad from reading the scanner.
It sounds like the EGR sensor for the emissions and a TPS throttle position sensor for the performance. The rough ride could be a 4x4 control because some of the Lincolns will pump up the air suspension harder for the 4x4 setting.

First, you may save yourself some work because Lincolns have a longer warranty than other products. You should call a dealer and also have them run your Vin# for recalls.
Ask if there are any TSBs or Technical Service Bulletins for your vehicle which are fixed without a recall, but with no expense or shared expense. These are done on a "silent warranty" basis.

If unsuccessful at that, the internet Salvage yards can ship the used part direct to you. Or a local Salvage yard would be quicker if they have the part. You also might want a dealer to run the part# to see if a sister vehicle like an Explorer or Mountaineer part would work.

Every car different, call an auto rescue or towing company, the trucks are usually equiped with slim jims, that can be used to gain access to your vehicle.

Hope this helps.

have your oil pump and oil sending unit checked....
the noise you are hearing is going to be from the engine not having enouph oil to either the top or the bottom of the engine.
If you do not have enouph oil getting to either part of the engine than you will loose compression and compression makes you move. i would start there

more than lickey you need to have a new oil pump or oil sending unit installed. the tapping is due to not enouph oil to either the top of the engine or the bottom of the engine. if you do not have enouph oil pressure it will cause you to have low compresion and you need the compresion to move..... if you have some but not enouph compression than you will loose power trying to take off in fast paced traffic or up a hill and from a stop light....

first check the fuse then you can see if you are getting voltage to the power window relay if so you can buy another, not very expensive at your local oreilly's or napa then if that isnt it you going to have to take the door pannal off and get the power window motor for that door checked and maybe another one of those that is the most common issues witht that, that have occured in that specific car so check those three things if it isnt any of those contact me and rate my solution plz

Will a scan tool communicate with all the vehicle control modules , any DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored ? Not a code reader , a professional scan tool . That's the place to start , not guessing an just replacing parts . Who diagnosed bad PCM ?

There are a few companies that offer a/c bypass kits that come with a pulley, belt, and bracket. Check your local auto parts stores and see what they can get for you.

Jimmy, The reason for the error can be caused by many things, I'll list a few. 1. Dirty/ corroded battery cables can send an electrical spike thru the electrical system and can damage electronics in the instrument cluster. 2. Incorrect (or even correct) use of jumper cables, you can do everything right and still damage instruments in the cluster. 3. Smoking (anything) can leave a film in the instrument cluster and shorten its life. 4. A damaged wire from a sensor to the instrument cluster may be the culprit. Unfortunately the instrument cluster is not repairable, It has to be replaced as a whole unit which brings up odometer issues on a title, True miles documentation and legal stuff. A reputable auto supplier has access to re-manufactured instrument clusters with all the necessary documentation to keep it legal. I wish I had an easier answer for you. https://www.rockauto.com/ is a good parts supplier.

There is no reset procedure. If you're using a good key and there are no trouble codes stored, it will work. If it doesn't check the trouble codes.

Unfortunately, the heating wires in the heating pads inside the seat coverings often fail at stress points causing intermittent connections (particularly at the thermostatic device). The only way to diagnose is to check continuity of the pad at the connector while pressing on the seat at various places. If this is the problem, you are looking at disassembling the seat and replacing the offending pad.
