2007 Mini Cooper S Convertible Questions & Answers
I use the convertible top
BMW while truly an innovator. Also designs some of the most complicated electrical systems imaginable!! What worked for me was essentially a master reset. Now I didn't have the convertible, but I imagine the principle still applies. Try disconnecting the positive battery lead for about 20-30 seconds. this should do a "reboot" of your car's OS. Hopefully reverting to factory settings for all functions, including the programing for the top.
Good luck,

Warning light
check the tire pressures..see if any are below 30 psi..in cold weather, they use nitrogen to inflate tires due to its lack of effects from these temperature changes..these new cars will tell you if your tires are either too much pressure or too low.. its a safety feature .. you can put air in them and that light should go out.. try to set them at 32-35 psi..the variance in readings will affect this also by 3-5 psi..in these conditions check once a week or so..remember rubber does not seal entirely on alloy wheels..in some cases where a tire is consistently low, you may need to take it in and have the tire "glued" to the rim..
My 2003 mini cooper s overheated last night, any
I would guess that you are either out of antifreeze (coolant) or your thermostat has malfunctioned and is not letting the coolant through. I'd check my coolant level, if your coolant level is fine remove thermostat. After you remove the thermostat run your car like you normally would and if it doesnt overheat u have a thermostat issue. However if your coolant level is good I'd say just change thermostat because i'm 99% sure thats going to be your issue. Hope I was able to help you out. Good luck

My hood release is nor
Most cars have a hood release in the cabin of the car near the driver's seat. When you pull it, you'll hear the hood pop open. However, there is usually a secondary latch that is under the hood that you have to press in order to be able to lift the hood up. Have you tried this?
Mini roof will go to
Hi,
This tends to indicate a failed switch/sensor in the roof system. The
car uses a number of sensors to monitor the position of the roof as it
opens and closes, and when one of them fails, the roof will not
function. Unfortunately there is no way to guess which switch may have
failed without the use of proper diagnostic equipment. The good news is
it should not be an expensive fix once the offending switch is
identified.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
