Water out exhaust
Depends how much. With gasohol there easily can be more moisture in the fuel being burned. It has to go somewhere and the exhaust is where it goes. Temperature and humidity also play into it.Now if you are adding water to the radiator, then you have a problem. You need a pressure bleeddown test or a Radiator pressure test. Sometimes the top gaskets on the engine can leak, and the water runs into the intake ports internally. But head gaskets can also leak. You need to go to a Radiator place to diagnose it or a full service repair place.
Fuel pump is bad.
It depends where you get the pump and where you take it to have it done if you're not doing it yourself. The pump could cost anywhere from $150 - $550. If you take it into a shop to have it done, they could charge you 4 - 8 hours of labor so depending on their labor rate, labor alone could cost you $240 - $800. The gas tank has to be removed in order to replace the pump, that's why the labor would be so high. These cars have a fuel pump fuse and relay so I would definitely spend a little time to check those first before you spend a lot of money replacing the fuel pump itself.
Good Luck!

These specs are for the lhs. All bolts to 45 ft lbs, then all bolts to 65 ft lbs. All bolts to 65 ft lbs again, and then 1/4 turn more. Do not use a torque wrench for the last operation. ( the 1/4 turn)
Start with second from front on the outside, and work in a circular motion until you have them all tightened in this manner. It may help to mark them as you go.

2004 2.2 Olds Alero starter will not start unless I jump the solenoid
My daughter had an alero and frequently it had issues with the security features and had to follow the reset procedure to get it to start. I cannot remenber the reset procedure but it is available online in a lot of places, as so many people have had issues with that car. Something to the effect of putting it in neutral and turning the key to the on position but not try to start it, leave it there for 10 minutes or something and then the car will start. The security lamp would go out. I just rememembered after typing all of that, that the security lamp in the dash display would light or flash when that was the issue. My daughter solved all fo her alero problems. She bought a Mazda 3 , You didnt buy that from Off lease.com during the past year or so did you? Maybe her old car???
