Ok So I have had this car 2005 Buick Century for
I would also think that it is the fuel pump since you said that turning the key and starting it again helped. I was thinking that it takes awhile to prime the engine. The fuel pump could be weak. Have the pump tested. It depends on your pump it could range from 30 to 80psi.
I just replace my gas cap .How long do I have to
Hello and welcome to FixYa!
It may take atleast 500kms. to reset the check engine light. Try removing the positive battery connector too and let it sit for atleast 5mins. then reconnect it again. The system can be resetted after the positive battery connector removal.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
Problem with the 2005 Buick
You have to remove and dismantle each switche and solder in a new bulb on the inernal printed curcuit board ... time consuming and tediously precise work ... the bulbs are 14 volt 0.065 amp minature ... part number is 8111 (you need the ones with wire leads) and are available on eBay at US $1.00 each (search 8111 bulb) ... in my 04 LeSabre there were some 35 such bulbs throughout the all of the switches and buttons! By the way, if you ran the dash lights at half brightness the bulbs last a lot longer, even 2 volts less (than the rated 14 volts) extends the life more than 3x. Best wishes with the replacement!
What's wrong when I hear
Damaged outter tie rod, Damaged outter drive axle bearing, damaged hub, could be anyone of these major components.
My buick century wont shift into gear, it will
Sometimes when the steering wheel is turned to far to the left or right, it can bind up and the lever won't move. If it is, put some pressure and try to nudge it back and forth while trying to move the shifter.
Headlights wont come on. Running and tail lights
Is neither the high beam nor low beam working? Neither the left side nor the right side for each? Knowing this could help isolate the problem. It could be anything from a simple case of blown headlamp bulbs to a burned-up headlamp switch to a defective Daytime Running Lamp Module. I will say, however that I have seen quite a few problems with the headlamp bulb sockets on several of the GMs.
2005 Buick Century,ABS , TRAC OFF, SERVICE VEHICLE
I think that the ABS TRAC OFF light has more to do with the ABS sensors not giving reliable speed or movement information to the ABS Control Module. Harness connections or broken wires to the module can cause the same problem, or the hub assembly ($49 to $79 to $109 for the part) may have to be replaced to start with.
The driver door window switch not functioning correctly may be a bad or dirty switch which can be obtained from a salvage yard for a lower price than from the dealer. I would test the switch current before replacing, though, with a test light to ensure the wiring is not an issue with this circuit, as well.
Good luck on these repairs on the 2005 Buick Century.
The rocker arm worked its way out of the cylinder
Take a look at the push rod for damage, then reinstall pushrod, make sure it sitting in lifter then make sure rocker arm is not damaged, reinstall rocker arm and use some locktite to lock stud in head and use on the nut, make sure to clean oil off the thread then tighten to specs and let dry for a day or two this should not happen again, the key is to let the locktite dry.
Replace left side rear view mirror/2005 buick century
On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel
and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and
disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
