Trouble going in and out of 4 wheel drive
If your 4WD is vacuum operated I would check and probably replace the vacuum lines. They are most likely cracked or loose by now. To check them spray along each line with some carb cleaner. If the engine revs up you have a vacuum leak. If you eplace them 1 at a time, they don't get mixed up.If your 4WD is electric, I would suspect weak solenoids, poor wire connections or maybe weak motors. hope this helps.

Install Positive Battery Cable 2000 GMC Sonoma
this cable goes from the battery down to the starter. and i believe it has a another wire on this cable that goes to the rear of the altenator. the wire that goes to the starter, has a holder somewhere along it's route to the starter, it's a plastic lock type holder to keep the cable from getting near any moving object's. I take a small screwdriver to unlock this holder you have to look real close to see how it comes apart. and the cable is held to the starter with a 15mm nut

My high milage 2000 GMC
The oil pump is on the front of the engine. the pan and front of the engine has to come off. the crankshaft drives the pump. the cross member bolts in. you may check the oil pick up tube first. sometimes a mechanic has a bore scope and can go up in the oil pan drain hole and look at the screen. Its a lot of work/money to be guessing. good luck

1999 GMC Sierra V6 reverse
Likely the reverse switch. This is either on the shifter assembly but more likely it is screwed into the transmission. An easy swap after correctly identifying the switch. You may lose some transmission oil so put a pan down.

Hi there i just changed
Hello and welcome to FixYa!
What you hear can be the cable of the mechanism. The steel strands tends to worn out which can make a glass cutting sound. You may want to replace the power window cable to resolve the problem.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

AC blows cold air and
Hello: When the condition occurs pull over, do no turn engine off, open hood on the passenger side there is a line that comes out of the accumulator, if it is white(frosted up) the you have a low pressure switch that is not working properly. This switch cuts the compressor off to keep the system from freezing up. If you have this condition you can fix it yourself. Get a new switch and o ring, put a small amount of oil on the o ring. Unscrew the old switch, screw the new one in (electrical connector disconnected before removing old switch) connect the connector. You will not loose the freon as there is a schrader valve that will keep the freon in the system.

We are trying to loosen
take off air filter top and housing between the filter and the throttle body, the belt tensioner is just a spring loaded arm with a pulley on it, take a 3/8 rathet and move the arm andt ake belt off. Make note of the belt routing, sometimes there is a diagram under the hood, if not make you own diagram on paper before taking it off.

I have a 2001 GMC Sierra. My truck has the shakes
That is usually caused by warped rotor discs. I know you said you just put on new ones, but has anyone put new tires or removed and replaced wheels on your truck. I have seen in the past, when they overtightin the lug nuts it warps the rotors.
All mechanics I have seen installing wheels have over torqued them.

Low coolant light keep coming on chev garage
You may very well have ruined this engine by continuing to drive it with coolant mixing with the oil. Have a compressions test run to verify the condition of the rings. The oil pump may also be failing.

MY 2000, GMC SIERRA SLT
Not having the correct ratio of water to coolant wouldn't cause the problem your describing. Since it is a General Motors product, are you sure it has 'DexCool" in it? Some aftermarket coolants are not compatible with DexCool and will cause the cooling sytem to "clot" up..
Overheating under load would indicate to me that the coolant flow is impeded. Could be a clog in the radiator, faulty thermostat or a rarity, the impellers of the wter pump have failed.

My criuse control dash button
With the light coming on as if it's working it is likly to be working it's just come disconnected some way. Most of the time the cable from the cruise unit to the throttle body comes off or the cable is broken ( less likly). There's likly three cables connected to the throttle body, ( the thing thats mounted to the engine that the air inlet hose connects to that is coming from the air cleaner box) One will be the gas pedal and right next to it is the cruse and on a different angle theirs a cable that connects to the transmission. With thte car shut off you can watch the cables and touch them as someone steps on the gas pedal and makes them move the one that tightens up is the pedal and so the other that pulls the same way is the cruse. If you've never seen it work it might be because major work has been done some time or other and the mechanics did'nt hook the cable back up, or a previous owner did'nt want it to work and had it disconnected. If you find it unhooked and you don't know why. be careful as you first try to use it as it might be disconnected because it does something wrong. ( go faster and faster, or won't shut off). Most will stop if you turn off the key but until your shure it works OK do'nt use it any where that turning the car off and pulling to the side of the road is easy. ( in other words be ready for it to do something wrong). Once you figure out why it's been disconnected, tell me what it did and i'll trey to tell yu how to fix it. I need the engine size and the country the car was bought new In to help you alot.

Hi, Been having problems with
- Sounds like an 02 sensor to me. Since you stated that your Check Engine Light will stay off sometimes that means it comes on sometimes. Have you had the code pulled? When the check engine light comes on that means the PCM has detected a sensor malfunction. Then you need to get it scanned and see what the code is and from that you can tell what is wrong. You did not list a code.
- Go to Auto Zone and get a scan for free or go to a mechanic and get it scanned for a fee. Find the code and go from there. Until then it is just guessing. Even if I have a good guess I don't like to work on guesses.
- Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.
Regards,
Tony

Passenger truck door is locked
you will need to get the panel off, there are screws in the armrest, if window crank will be clipped/screwed on then its just a matter of popping off the sides with a flat tip, lifts up and out, once panel is off you should be able to unlock door. Tim
