Fan does not work in position 1 2 3 works great in
From the scenario that you have just described; more than likely your blower motor resistor pack has failed. On the highest setting, the blower motor will have no resistance from the resistor pack allowing the motor to turn the fan at full speed; however, on the lower speeds, the different resistors are what create your different speeds by varying resistance in the electrical circuit.
Where is the flasher module on a 2001 Sonoma?
There is a multi-function switch in the steering column which controls the flasher module. The flasher module is located in the back of the glove compartment. In the flasher module there are Three relays. They are behind a piece of plastic labeled "Relay Access" You will need to use a screwdriver to pry the bottom tabs of the plastic to pull it out. You will see three small black cubes. Those are your flasher relays. You can get those relays at any car part store.
Thanks.
I have a 2001 gmc sonoma 4.3 replace brake lines
a special tool is required to hold the ABS hydraulic control unit popit valves open during bleeding of the brakes, without this special tool you will not be able to get the air out of the system, most good brake shops have this tool or of course the local Chevy dealer or GMC dealer. I am a dealer tech and know this information is correct..
I HAVE A 2001 GMC SONOMA WITH 2.2L, AND IT HAS A
The HI side should be well into the 200 range.
My only question is why your here, when two shops seem to be on their A game.
Does the compressor pull down and cycle off, when watching the low side? Or just run all the time.
Did they jump the switch,to force it to run?
If the compressor failed, lets hope it didn't trash the system.
I always flush everything regardless.
Most likely the compressor went in some fashion.
2001 gmc sonoma while operating
sounds like a bad or lose wire. you will need to do a "wiggle" test as commonly reffered to in the automotive repair industry. as with everything on you will need to wiggle harness's that are suspected of fault. and that is were the experince comes in. no it would be impossible for me to help there. but if i was you i would check all the fuses first for tight and proper connection. then go on to the wiring for the radio and blower motor. where they should be in the same loom that runs the lenth of the dash board. from right to left. driver to passangers. once you have located the harness with the fault you will need to open it up and inspect for damaged wires. this is not a common thing for this car so there is no place i could tell you i have had problems before. but i can say is to look over any after market equipment that has been installed like a alarm/remote statrter and or radio. these are a common cause for electrical fault's in my experince. let me know if you have any more questions or anything to add.
WHERE DO I PLACE THE ANTI FREEZE OR COOLANT
There is a raidator cap that can be unscrewed when the engine is cold fill this to the top then there will be an overflow bottle and it will say engine coolant on the cap, fill this to the full mark and you should be on your way :)
Starting problems
With a voltmeter or test light can you check for power at the fuse block? There should be power to some of the fuses like ignition or radio, cigarette lighter. If not then check directly at battery. Some cars have fusible links between the battery and all loads, I don't know yours.
I have a 2001 sonoma which is running high on
The radiator might be clogged. Take it and have the system flushed out,and back flushed, that will tell if there is a clog somewhere. If the radiator is too clogged, it will need to be replaced.
How do i know if brake booster is gone ? 2001 gmc
Do you by any chance hear a hissing noise from under the dash? If so, yes, you have a bad booster. For it to do what you're saying, it would almost have to have a vacuum leak. However, if there is a problem with something in the ABS system, you should have an ABS warning light on. Also, ABS can make the pedal fade, but I've never heard of it making the pedal hard. Your diagnosis of a brake booster does sound likely, but I'll admit I can't be sure -- this is an odd one.
