You have to get under the bonnet first? There is a way to get in there, but you have to have another car there so you can see what you are doing. Or a slick mercedes mechanic. Some cars have a tiny hole in the front that will trip the bonnet with a thin rod pushed straight in. Then you can get the battery charged up, or jumped or replaced.

2001 Mercedes S500 Dead Battery,
Hi, if you can open the hood, use jumper cables to open the trunk. Connect the negative cable to chassis ground or even the engine. Connect the positive cable to either the big nut on the starter solenoid, the fuse box, or the big charge wire nut on the back of the alternator.

I have a 2000 mercedes S430, the radio/cd unit
in this case hard to say exactly what's the wrong, i will give you clue regarding this kind of fault, in your particular car have fitted very complicated and advance audio and communication system, it working through many control units with very advance and intelligent communication method, this system need working all other related control units without any problem, becouse this all communicatio contrll unts are connedted by the D2B optical ring if one control unit not read and reply to D2B optical ring all the system not be working (command unit + TV tuner + voice control + telephone control + Audio gateway with integrated amplifier) in your car some time could be faulty some coding or Audio gateway with integrated amplifier, very hard to say which one is the exactly fault, I would like to advise you to get your car to Mercedes workshop and diagnose, if not you may spend money for unnecessary things and be lost money without fix the problem. is this information helped you?

Mercedes S430 trunk won't open
you have to stick the key in the trunk and turn it to the lefy while hittin the unlock button on the key pad 35 times has to be 35 and it will unlock. my battery died and it locked the trunk as u know i coudn't jump it cause the battary is in the trunk haha but yeah 35 times while hitting the key. mercedes wont tell u but my buddy works for inskip and filled me in your o so welcome from one s430 owner to another
