My heater only blows hot on the passenger side

You first have to find a problem-- before any parts changing takes place So you have no factory service manuals-- I assume, to learn about the system with the problem & trouble charts to follow to find a problem ! The problem is about the HVAC Blend Doors not working correctly & you have to do the required testing for the answer

Blower motor not working 2005 GMC sierra resister ground pin burnt

small_car4.png Wiring problem of the 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 6 Failure Date: 07/18/2009

The connector that plugs into the blower motor under the glove box became too hot and melted the plastic resulting in the a/c and heat not to work (this includes the windshield defroster). I've been looking up problems and solutions and found that this is a recurring problem with GMC and chevy trucks yet there has not been any recall, in fact the dealerships have an extremely overpriced kit to fix their faulty wiring. About 66,000 mi.

05 gmc sierra 3500 6.6 duramax had the service 4wd

You probably have a trouble code stored in the engine computer for a faulty transmission selector switch. The engine computer thinks the trans is in 3rd gear and not park. Or it really could be stuck in third gear.

BLOWER FAN WILL NOT SHUT OFF EVEN WHEN TRUCK TURNED OFF

Sounds like the blower control module. Alo inpect the multi wire plug, they sometimes get damaged from the heat. The module and plug should be in the immediate vicinity of the blower motor, generally behind or below the glove box

Why want 05 duramax start

Are any light's lite on dash ? check engine ? There are a lot of electronic components on these vehicles. Fuel Injector Control Module for one. Crank sensors, fuel rail pressure sensor , engine computer (ECM) and you should have a professional grade scan tool to work on these vehicles . You could look on YouTube, there are a lot of guys that post auto repair videos there, even ones on diesel's with no start problems.

Odometer dims and goes out. it does this randomly

Usually when this happens you will have a loose contact (earth wire) and it may be hard to find. Try removing the lower cover around the steering column and, with lights on, reach up behind the instrument cluster and wiggle the wires.

Odometer dims and goes out. i rotate dome light switch and it comes back on

It sounds like you have an earth problem (Negative or Black wire on most vehicles) so try tightening the - pole on the battery and make sure it is clean. Also check all earthing points on the vehicle to make sure they are tight.
