2005 GMC Sierra right side fan does not turn on

Could be something as simple as the connection came unplugged. If not, disconnect it at the lug and check it with a test probe to see is there power from the harness to the motor. If no power, check fuses and connection at the sending unit.

The speed o meter not working correctly is probably the result of a bad stepper motor inside the instrument cluster . GM had bad step motors from 2003 to 2006 . How to repair GM Instrument Cluster Speedometer Gauge Stepper . The problem with the heated seat is more then likely bad heating elements . Testing the electrical circuit is the way to find the problem . CHEVY GMC SEAT HEATER TROUBLESHOOTING YouTube

My 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 has a rear end roaring noise.

Change both axel bearings at the same time. The pinion bearing can be tested by slowly turning the drive shaft by hand and listening for any rough spots. It could be a carrier bearing or a bad U joint too. Isolate it by dropping the drive shaft and turning the pinion yoke by hand. If there is a problem, you'll be able it feel it. Then look at the drive shaft for worn carrier bearing and U joints.

I have a 2005 GMC Sierra Z71 4x4 that recently

You might want to check the ball joint. None of them have grease zerks and can dry out. They will cause a noise when turning or hitting a bump, if really bad. Hope this helps.

Did and oil change, changed fuel filter and air filter

Hi Anita: If it had been running fine up until the maintenance that you describe, I would be checking what had been done. -The first concern would be the oil used, and the amount. Is it possible that it was overfilled or that the wrong kind of oil was used? Please reply as a comment to this post and I'll try to assist you.

License Plate Lights

Probably not... For some reason license plate light wiring and sockets are VERY prone to corrosion. Make sure to check the light sockets and try to get to the wiring close to them, your problem is more than likely very close to the lights.

One blade will only work part way - is there a way to tighten arm on motor post

Yes....Try this.....With the wipers OFF,grab & move said wiper arm in the same direction as if you have switched the wipers on.........If said arm moves,in most cases, there is a nut holding said arm to the 'splined' pivot.Tighten said nut & re-check wiper arms for proper 'park position'......Additional adjustment may be needed.....Hope this helps :-) If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/ralph_2f0886b7d6af32ce

What can I do to fix my transmission.

I presume this is an automatic transmission. If so it is likely your transmission fluid is low. There may be other problems, so I recommend you take to a professional transmission shop. It may be a minor problem and a little preventive attention may save your transmission.

When the gauges in my truck fluctuate and the heat doesn't come on the way it should, does that mean the thermostat needs to be replaced?

You can replace the thermostat...it is relativity inexpensive to do..you will lose some of the antifreeze from tne top of your engine due the thermostat being a little lower then the top of the radiator..HOWEVER....Having a GM truck I believe that you have two separate problems...one the heat not coming on properly..your inside the car heat system works by sensors and activation mechanisms that work/move the doors within the heat/cooling housing..The common problem is the activater that moves from heat to cool visa/versa is defective or tne inside door is not operating properly...the activater is not to much of a job just above the gas pedal on the end of the heat/cooling housing..the other..door is on tne inside and quite a job to get at...The other gauge problem,if more the one of the gauges are fluctuating it is your computer board electrical system powering the gauge cluster..A COMMON PROBLEM ON GM AND CHEVY TRUCKS AND VANS..they can be re-calibrated but must be removed...if only the heat gauge...it may be your heat sensor on the engine block..again not a hard or expensive job..but is an important sensor..it controls the the fans that cool the engine and senses the temp of the water going to your heater core...A defective one could be sending false readings to your inside heat sensors in the cab..I.E heat not coming on right..my first bet would be CHANGE THE HEAT SENSOR.. Then go from there.Hope this helps..good luck
