I have a 2001 BMW 740il. Error code per Autozone
P0343 - Camshaft Position Sensor 'A' Circuit High InputI'm surprised Autozone didn't give you a printout of the possible causes or tell you what they were. These are possible causes but it could also be the wiring in the system too.- Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor- Camshaft Position Sensor harness is open or shorted- Camshaft Position Sensor circuit poor electrical connection- Faulty starter motor- Starting system circuit- Dead (Weak) battery
Bmw 750il 1999 not start
Did you mean charged or changed?
If charged, it could be battery has lost depth of charge. You can charge a "tired" battery for hours only to have "surface charge". Just doesn't charge deep into the plates like it used to.
If changed - did you get a big enough battery? That 750 (12 cyl) is a monster on battery and your electrical system is almost in the NASA sphere of complications.
99 740il will not crank
if it was starting up fine and stopped cranking all the lights light up on the dash but just dosent start look under the carpet on the passenger side the is another fuse box panel there if there hasnt been any water in the car it can rust it out and blow fuses and cause other electrical problems that what happened to us we are looking for this part right now my husband probe the wires and everything works
How can I get visual
hi unfortunately there is no external marks to go by this is only achieved by removing the rocker covers and then putting it into top dead centre and seeing if the 2 camshaft marks align up at the top..
Hello, my 99 750 il v-12 likes to through the
I suspect one of your control modules has a connection problem. When cold condensation may be getting in causing resistance. Personally I'd have BMW look at it because it could be an ignition issue that could cost lots $$$ (I used to work for BMW NA, live in Mn. also)
Air conditioning and heating all
If everything has stopped working ie. blower, you can't change the vents, a/c compressor won't come on, then I would look at the control head, If the vents still change, then I would check the fuses,( it's a 30 amp) for the blower, If that is good. the resitor may be bad, some times the blower will work on high only, this will tell you that it's the resistor, If ithe blower doesn't work on any setting then it could be the the blower.
If you are going to try this yourself, let me know and I can guide you thru it and check to see which part is bad. you will need an ohm meter
