Did your Z4 lose all battery power? If so, the have to enter the radio security code. If you don't have it, you might have to pull the radio out as its usually on the back of the radio. Hopefully it's on the card that has the key code, and wheel lock code.

There is micro switch is located in the luggage compartment (trunk), what it does is prevent the convertible top from being opened if the shelf in the truck is in the raised position. If the shelf is in the raised position it allows more room in the trunk.
To start with look inside the truck towards the top on both sides of the shelf and you will notice trunk knobs and they almost look like gas burner knobs on an outdoor gas grill, when you turn the knobs one direction the shelf will raise when you turn them the other direction the shelf will lower. Make sure the shelf is in the lowest position and try it again, if that doesn't correct it put the shelf in the raised position and look under the shelf towards the front of the car (where your seat backs would be if you could see them) and you should see the micro switch, how it works is that there is a little tab on the shelf and when you lower the shelf it is supposed to make contact with the switch which tells the system the shelf is lowered and the top can now be opened.
Let me know if that doesn't correct the problem.
When you press the open button does your windows lower half way and the top release from the windshield? If so, you will be able to see it raise about a 1/4" from the windshield (un-seal from the windshield) and when you push up in the center of the top (at the winshield) it will move away from the windshield.
There is also the hyd. release valve that is located in the truck as well and if it was pulled and turned 90 degrees by mistake (little red handle in the upper left hand corner of the truck if you are facing into the truck) it will prevent the hyd. pump from working, however the windows will still lower and it will release from the windshield.

After you have removed the 4 nuts securing the pump to the motor, you will need to install 2 6mm bolts in the two holes on the pump and alternately tighten the bolts to push the pump away from the motor. After the pump is loose, I recommend removing the the nuts from the top of the motor mounts and slightly raising the motor until the pump clears.

Hi You will need to take the car to someone with a diagnostic machine ,when you've removed the seat I'm assuming you've unplugged some cables ? If not you could have disturbed the wiring under the seat that controls the airbag which requires a diagnostic machine to reset the light Hope this helps Nick

Take it to an independent BMW mechanic as BMW dealers use technician level people who replace parts not mechanic level training an independent may have a better idea about the problems and get the fault codes read and ask for their meaning

could be a bad ground point , dirty battery terminals and posts more than likely a bad battery have it load tested as they will charge up but if the cell is bad , it will not have the capacity for a heavy discharge that is required by the starter

You will be at the mercy of the dealership on this one

this is normal to some extent to try and warm up the tranny to opp temperature as soon as possible. make sure the vehicle had the latest software installed in the transmission as this could also cause a delayed shift when cold.

if it's regular emblem , then it has two plastic pins on the sides (Left and right , very tight fit), it's almost impossible to pull emblem out without braken it.
hood has two plastic clips ,were those pins go.

Hi Unfortunatley once you have entered a code wrong 3 times in a security coded radio, it is rendered U/S, this is an anti theft device so if someone steels your radio, and tries to enter code incorrectly it has a special chip that burns out ( or what ever it realy does) and then they cannot sell it or use it. Sorry....
