Why is it that my 2003 impala will crank and turnover but wont start

I sounds like you have a fuel flow problem. Replace the in-line fuel filer located in the fuel line in front of the rear tire. Check out this web site for "how to" replace the in-line fuel filter. http://www.ehow.com/how_6724057_install-filter-2003-chevy-impala.html

How can I bypass the security code

Why do think the key security is bad? If you still have a factory key, this is not the problem...if no factory key, you can take your VIN number or original key to GM dealer to get new key that they will program for you...Check for dirty battery connections:)

Why did it shut off while I was driving?

Change the tank gas cap. When it is clogged, vacuumbuilds in the tank; this prevents the gas flow to the engine.

03 chevy impala how to fix pocode 1635 is this the computer are what is it

DTC P1635 The powertrain control module (PCM) provides 5 volts to the following sensors: ?€¢ The manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor

?€¢ The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve

?€¢ The fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor

?€¢ The throttle position (TP) sensor

These 5-volt reference circuits are independent of each other outside the PCM, but are bussed together inside the PCM. Therefore a circuit condition on one sensor 5-volt reference circuit may affect the other sensor 5-volt reference circuits. The PCM monitors the voltage on the 5-volt reference circuit. If the PCM detects that the voltage is out of tolerance, DTC P1635 sets. Diagnostic Aids ?€¢ If any sensor using a 5-volt bias voltage, such as the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor or fuel sensor, is shorted to voltage, DTC P1639 may set in addition to DTC P1635.

?€¢ For an intermittent condition, refer to Intermittent Conditions .

Does the vehicle start an run ?

Why does the temp gauge indicate the car is running hot when it is not?

Ahh ... the gas gauge / fuel level gauge does not work, either. Maybe you need to replace the motors that are behind those dials. People are getting charged $300-$500 to have the fuel gauge replaced when the problem really is the little motor - 5 or 6 of them for less than $30. 2003 Buick LeSabre owners are having the same problem with their fuel gauges being erratic.

Which wires go where on a 2003 3.4 liter Chevy

There are three posts on the starter solenoid. Two large ones, and one small one. One of the large ones has a braided wire going into the starter. leave this one alone. On the other large ones, you will connect the positive battery cable as well as the large red wire coming from the alternator. The small purple wire connects to the small post on the solenoid. Lastly, on the engine block pointing the opposite way (towards the drivers side) is another stud and you will connect the negative battery cable to it. Make sure that none of the wires can touch the other posts coming out of the solenoid. 25182534-uj3wv2bwoteyd1zjszxbeamx-1-0.jpg 4: Negative Battery Cable 6: Purple Starter actuator wire - 12V when key turned to start. 9: Positive Battery Cable 10: Positive Cable from Alternator

How do i locate the transmission fluid filter on my 2003 impala?

You have to remove tranny oil pan to get at the filter. Note the picture, #100 is the filter. Sometimes on high mileage vehicles when you change the filter and the fluid it can cause shift problems till the fluid gets completely circulated. Maybe you won't have any issues? 25711434-ymeaehkxi02onwrfbxfy4u0z-3-0.jpg

Air bag light comes on and off while driving

Sounds like a flaky connection to the air bag module. WITH THE VEHICLE OFF (so that you do not trigger the air bag accidentally), check all connections at the steering column, the air bag module under the dashboard, and the air bag inertial sensor behind the front grille. (Wouldn't hurt to squirt a bit of penetrating oil into the connectors to help eliminate corrosion. That being said, your local Chevy dealership will likely check the problem for free, since it's a safety equipment issue.
