I have a 2003 trailblazer and the engine fan stays engaged. The temp runs at 210
Jeff, this is a very common problem with our platform. Replace your fan clutch, while you're there, replace your waterpump also, it's cheap and it WILL go out. If you can swing it, buy a Hayden brand fan clutch, or buy one for an 08 or 09', those are better. If you do it yourself, do yourself a favor. Cut a notch in the upper fan shroud where the upper radiator hose is. Will save you tons of time, potential breakage, and frustration.
2003 trailblazer v8 4wd crank but no start. Fuse4 under hood panel has no power. It should be hot in run and start key position. Where does it get power i cant find power side prints
It like this the battery supply's the power to the starting motor to crank the engine over that is a good point to start checking .
However the ignition switch opens the circuit like a light switch on your wall open closed.
Now you need to figure out what works when the key switch is in run position do you have major power windows seats door locks if so the battery is fine .If not you need to take a good look at the battery TEST IT if that's good then look at the fuse box any fuse that would stop power flow would a 20 to 30 amps yellow or green the # will be on the back of it
Next you need look at main connections and grounds like from the battery to the starter and solenoid yank on the cable to the starter from the battery check your main ground cables fusible links look for corrosion.
Then you can start thinking about what you need to take APART.
3 will
