Transmission won't shift into 3rd gear. Diagnostic light stays on
Without having the codes pulled it's going to difficult to know which component is failing. But with that said a few of the main components that tend to fail are: Transmission shift solenoid, torque converter, and a speed sensor. The most likely culprit would be the the Transmission shift solenoid AKA Transmission control solenoid. The part itself will cost anywhere between $80-$200 plus labor.
Wiper delay does not work
Intermittent wipers: Inside the wiper motor (of most cars) there is a diode or diodes. They burn out or they break. If you replace the diodes the intermittent wipers will work again. If you cannot replace the diodes, replace the wiper motor completely (used or new)
