Cannot find the fuse for
On my '95 Sierra Fuel Pump fuse is in the engine compartment. Drivers side, closer to the firewall. Black cover, remove, you should find fuses and relays.
1995 gmc sierra automatic. When
it is definately a fuel problem, if you press gently it speeds up step on it and it just bogs, i think it has sommething to do with the ecm that controls timing and fuel at the TBI (throttlebody injectors) not a filter, i put a new pump, tank, filter and cleaned out the fuel lines and still could not cure the problem, then i heard of a few thigs that got me thinkin but when i was gonna tackle it a guy said he wanted to buy it so i told him the issue he didnt care and i sold it. but those were the only things left to do.
My 2001 nissan frontier does not wont to change
Hi.
I assume that we are talking about an auto tranny here. If you have manual transmission, then you likely have to replace the gear box.
If you have automatic transmission:
If it doesn't switch to the upper gears at all, then a possibility is that one or more gear shift solenoid switches located in the valve body are probably defective. The solenoid pack is an array of switches located inside the transmission, behind the valve body cover. When one solenoid in the pack is defective, the transmission will never switch to that determined gear.
Each solenoid can be tested by reading impedance at its contacts with an Ohm meter. If the solenoid is defective it will read Open (Ohms infinity).
Other common problem that may result in the symptoms described is a faulty TPS. The TPS is the throttle position sensor. This is located in the throttle body, under the hood. When the TPS is defective, the TCM, which is the electronic control module managing transmission, get an incorrect input, and the result is no shifting or shifting at the wrong time. The TPS is tested reading impedance or volts at its contacts while slowly pressing the accelerator pedal. If there are gaps in volts reading, or if voltage does not decrease/increase smoothly, then the TPS is bad.
If the above are OK, check the knock sensor. That is also used by the TCM to decide when to shift.
If all the rest is OK you have either a bad TCM or a problem with the gear box.
Leak coming from transfer case. It leaks right
the trans case is not under a pressure, the fluid is a free flow oiler that gets slung around by chain and gears. are you sure it was the right seal ? DIdnt damage it on install !!? did you over fill the case ? Check rear spline on case and make sure it is not sloppy movement back and forth, up and down. if it is then seal is getting pushed all over and oil seaps past. but you would have a vibration while driving that you would notice. is ther a groove on rear slip yoke that is riding on seal groove. after reading your question again, are you talking about the drive shaft going into the transfercase or the main trans/ transfercase mating area? What is a rear drive live? rear driveline!! as in driveshaft?
I have a 1995 gmc
the first things to check is going to be your fuel supply (try some starter fluid). if you know your getting fuel then you need to check for spark ( you can pull your coil wire and ark the spark to a ground)
depending on the results there's many more things to trouble shoot
Left rear turn signal and
These trucks had a lot of problems with the circuit boards in the tail light assembly . Your local parts store should have these in stock so there should be no need to go back to the dealer for the part
4wheel drive will not go into any gears 5speed
do you mean the 5 speed manual transmission will not go into gear? and it is a 4x4 truck? I would check clutch linkage and fork or slave cylinder if it applies to this model. Is it grinding at all? Can you determine if the pressure plate is actually disengaging the cluch plate. If the pressure plate is properly disengaging then the problem may be the shift fork in trans is broke, wedged. trans mainshaft broke, I'm not sure but does that year have a removable floor pan cover under floor mat above trans? AS you can pull the top off trans and inspect without pulling trans out of truck.
Have 1995 gmc sierra.
ive found that when you do any coolant service to these trucks they get air bound. start the truck, let the temperature get up to 120, and with a rag crack open the radiator cap, but dont remove all the way...safety first. theis will draw the coolant in and get rid of the air bound.it had me confused for awhile also... not sure if this helps...or too late
My car is jerking when in any gear and going over
The problem is on the air inlet tube between the air filter and intake manifold.
A crack or a disconnect tube let in additional air into the intake.
The computer (ECU) will compensate by inject more fuel.
A ping / knock will generate and the knock sensor will reduce the timing and cut fuel.
That's the action occurring at 3000 rpm.
====
The action item for you is to spend time on inspect the air box and the air passage tube and metal bands.
After you discover the leak(s) then make your best judgement on repair or replace.
Motor and transmission mounts should be re-toque to ensure they are not loosen.
If they are over 160,000 miles in city driving then you should replace them.
Please keep me posted on the inspection and fix via email.
Rear main seal replacment
If you have a shop you need to pull the engine to replace the rear main seal. There is a possibility of a two part seal. If you have a two part seal drop the oil pan and pull the rear main engine cap off and then replace the seal. You may need specialized tools.
