Doesn't want to move as in it is still runinng and just won't go no matter how much you push on the gas, or as in it chugges and bogges and pops?????

Check the fluid level!! there are sensors inside the gearbox, starting on a hill would give a different reading to the flat, worth a try, auto wont work properly if fluid has either got too old or level is low

If its a front wheel drive car it could be a drive shaft

no blown head gaskets will boil very quickly I would be checking the temp SENDER unit for the temp gauge as it may be faulty and making the gauge read wrong run the fault codes to check for coolant SENSOR for a possible fault as well

from your description it sounds like you broke a u joint, but........ year make and model would help ALOT to narrow it down. and give you a better answer. let us know. Best to you.

did u remove the transmission and have it fixed or u just got one from the junker because shoul have low gear forward at least if ur second tranny have a good reverse and no low frward seems u pick a bad one and assuming the fluid level is good

check the radiator fan , maybe dont work

Check the cooling fan temp sensor, the fan might be working but it is not getting signal to turn on

alternator has no relay

If you were in an accident, it would need reset. Most likely your pump has died. The switch is on the passenger side. either under the dash, behind the kick panel, you'll see a hole in it to put your finger. Or it could be in the trunk behind the carpet. This is where I have found the switch in all makes and models.

Only Ford products use an inertia switch, and it only turns off in a wreck. Have you checked the fuel pump relay to see if it is sending power to the pump ?
