The a/c light flashes on 2003 Outlander and it just blows hot air. If I play with the hot/cold temperature control knob by turning it back and worth a few times quickly; the a/c may work for a few hours. The system had been recharged recently, seemed to be working, but just prior to this problem, water (from condensation?) would wind up in the glove compartment!!! I mean on really hot days, **** it up with a sponge from the glove box. Can someone help? THANKS!
The a/c light flashing is usually an indication that there is a problem with the compressor. However, when you recharged the system it worked. Start your car, lift the hood and turn the a/c on. Listen to insure that the compressor cycles properly without any unusual noises(click and whirl noise is normal) like a squeal. Cycles OK...no noise, compressor is fine. You more than likely have a clogged drain tube that you can run a wire up and drain; and you need to replace the a/c pressure switch because that is what is making you blow hot air. The a/c pressure switch is a typical problem on these Outlanders and people wind up replacing their compressor, when they only needed to replace a $25 part! Hope this helps solve the problem. GOOD LUCK!

I own a 2008 outlander. My problem is that when the vehicle is in Drive and is idling, the heat goes cold. Its like the air conditioner is on. The Dealership said it was the computer and it needed a upgrade... done and the problem is still there. The dealership said is was the thermostat and it needed changing... done and the problem is still there. Can anyone help me???
First, find another mechanic through a friend. You're getting taken by these guys. As for the heating problem, how does it act when you are actually driving? If it works fine, listen when you slow down for a noise like air escaping. If you hear it, you may have a vacuum leak that is causing the air dampers to close. It's a pretty cheap fix.
Check back before you spend more $$.

a/c blows warm/outside temp air, we also noticed the a/c light was blinking
usually when the light is blinking you are either low on freon or have a controller problem

How to remove the center console in mitsubishi outlander 2005
Start in the storage compartment, there are screws in and around it.. once that comes out, then lift it up.
Hidden will be a screw or 2 between the seats, you'll see them. Take those out, then you'll want to lift and pop up the center console all the way forward, eventually you'll see a couple of more bolts holding it down, undo those and you can take the whole unit out liting it up over the shifter.
Good luck!

2003 mitsubishi outlander sunroof will not close.
Hi
could be a few things, firstly the fuse for the sunroof, secondly some have a small relay next to the motor near the sunroof. if the switch for the sunroof is on the roof pop it out of the trim or unscre it if it is fixed with screws, check the wiring looks right if still wont close then simply unplug the wires off the back of the switch, tel me how many wires you have and the colours, you can attach 2 toghether and this will close the sunroof if the switch is the part that has failed, Always check fuses first!
If your stuck still get back to me for more info
Regards
Dan

Had a similar problem with a different car. Rear struts / spings were worn. Caused rear to sag enough to push wheels out and wear out inside portion of tires.
