Next, lock and unlock the doors using the remote. This will reset the alarm system and the engine will start and fobs reset. Get a second opinion. That is some crazy money to spend, but you should have expected that from a luxury model like the Maxima. I am surprised that a 2001 model would need the IAC programmed, but it could be. I would want a second opinion.
