2005 Nissan Altima - Page 9 Questions & Answers
My passenger rear door on my 2005 nissan altima will not open from inside or outside
It's not the handles I've struggled with these issues on 3 altimas it's the door latch itself it's from moisture it's worse in the winter if I run the car for a couple hours with heat on the door opens also if you repeatedly lock and unlock the door with the power lock it will release eventually. I've been locked in my 04 Altima multiple times and had to lock the door sometimes to get it to hold shut these cars are nutorious for door issues

Hello Torrey,
Your two problems are not related. Not firing has nothing to do with replacing a head gasket, but to do with the ignition system. You must have unplugged or disconnected something in your ignition system in the process of changing your head gasket ?? Look for that.... Hope this helps.

NISSAN ALTIMA A/C COMPRESSOR WILL NOT ENGAGE
I just fix my 2010 Altima
The ac compressor did not engage
the fans were both running all time when ac on
The problem was the high pressure valve located on the driver's side on the condenser
This valve controls both fans and compressor clutch

Best Practices
- To prevent an expensive, recurring problem, the integrity of the entire cooling system should be inspected and tested when a head gasket is replaced.
- During this repair, the cylinder head(s) will need to be inspected and machined. Additional repairs may be needed after the inspection, which can add several hundred dollars to the repair and are not included in the RepairPal estimate.
- Cylinder head gasket replacement often occurs when the engine has high mileage; several additional parts may be needed during the repair. These may include cooling system components (hoses, water pump, radiator, thermostat, etc.) vacuum lines, timing belt, ignition wires, and more. These will be in addition to the RepairPal estimate above.
