Is there anyway to bypass or disable the passlock system in an '99 Olds Intrigue?
no. the passlock system talks to the ecm and shuts down the fuel injection.. what kind of problem are u having with it?

I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue, and the fuel gauge needle is stuck behind the peg at the FULL mark. Because there is no peg near the EMPTY mark, it would seem at some point the needle continued to move counter clockwise until it rested on the peg.
This gauge problem happened right after my battery had died during a double feature drive-in movie, and the car wouldn't start. Attempts to start the car made the instrument cluster flash and the needles jump all over the place. After the car was jump started, everything was okay, except for the fuel guage.
one thing you can try is to get one of those magnetic pick up tools at a parts store.......prefferably one with a large magnet...and put a cloth around the end of it so you dont scratch the plastic on you gauges and try to pull it back to where it belongs,i have done this a few times with good results, hope this helps

Last night around midnight or so, my car honr starts beepin' as if someone is just holding it and letting it beep forever. I thought it was the alarm of the person parked next to me, but after it didn't go off for a while, I stepped out onto my patio, so I could listen better...just to be sure. Goodness gracious, it was my car!! So I go outside and try to turn it off by hitting the steering wheel where I usually beep the horn. It doesn't go off immediately, but it does eventually. About 2:10 am it does it again...I get it to go off. Around 3:15, it does it AGAIN!! This time I remove the fuse for the horn. Solved that, at least for the night. I go out to warm up the car and I put the fuse back. As the tips touch the metal, the horn beeps!! I dropped the fuse. I decided to go ahead and put it in, and get the horn to shut off, so I could drive to work. I did, drove to work and so far today it hasn't gone off. Will it happen again? Has this happened to anyone else? What's the deal? horn keeps going off.
problem is under the steering wheel,if vehicle has air bag its best entrusted to a garage,if it hasnt then just pull steering wheel off with a special puller and check the carbon brush and the wires and contacts in the steering wheel itself. This is a simple job but without the right tools ???

Is it necessary to 'bleed' the coolant in a 99 Olds Intrigue, 3.5 V6?
And if so, How?
Thanks!
where the top radiator hose goes into the top of the engine is where the bleeder is up on top of where the hose goes in. mine is a copper like flathead screw looking thing ! fill the radiator and loosen the bleeder a little and wait for the coolant to start spraying a straight stream of coolant out of the bleeder! hope this helps!
