2002 olds silhouette engine light

Lets start at the beginning. And keep in mind I can not see your car to do my own diagnosis. I can only go on what you tell me.The first code 135 is for a problem with the heater in the bank one sensor one O2 sensor. The oxygen sensors have built-in heaters to warm up the exhaust gas quickly. If replacing the sensor made the light go out and that code did not return, it probably fixed the problem. Don't know what the B is for.Why was the vac hose replaced ? Did you have another problem, or did the check engine light come back on ? Same thing with the vent valve.Code 446 is for a blocked or restricted vent path for the gas tank. This could be a faulty vent solenoid, or a blocked hose between the tank and the vapor canister. Again, is the check engine light off now ?As far as the van being old, thats baloney. It should be in good overall condition and stay that way for 15 or more years if maintained.Yes things will fail as time goes on, but not any faster than any other car or truck. What you have had repaired so far is normal for a 10 yr old vehicle. If those repairs fixed the issues.

2002 oldsmobile silohoutte won't start. It will

Check and make sure you are getting power to the starter. If you have a multimeter.Check and make sure you are getting at least 9 volts or more.If you do replace the starter. If not you need to check the park neutral position switch. This is on top of the transmission. If you don`t have a multimeter then while someone is turning the key to start, bang on the starter with a hammer. If it starts or kind of turns over then replace the starter.Hope this helps.Good luck.

How do I check for power to the rear wiper motor?

The best way is to use a 12 volt test lamp and a LONG jumper wire connected directly to the battery negative post.

Not sure if this will help, but my dad had a simialar problem with his minivan. As it turns out the drains under the windshield wipers were clogged with old leaves and debris and water couldn't drain out. Had it cleaned at a dealership for $20.Good luck.
