Where s the refsable lnk lcated
I think he said "Fuseable Link". This is a section of wire that is designed to open (like a fuse) under overloaded conditions. I suspect the problem is more likely to be the result of uninvited guests - mice, etc., than an open fuseable link. But, because you asked, it is difficult to see - unless looking for it. When it has opened, the insulation of the wire will become distorted due to the heat needed to open the link. The section of wire may also have "fusable link" printed on the insulation, too.Check cables, wiring and the fuse box for evidence of damaged, chewed insulation and wire(s). You can use a meter or 12 Volt test light to pierce the insulation of the wire to assist you in locating the open / damaged wire.Good lcuk!

I would check the computer for trouble codes first. The codes will point you in the right direction to look. You can do an internet search for the procedure to retrieve the codes and the codes list.Look for "GM OBD-1 Codes" There is a plug under the steering column you use a jumper wire to make the check engine light flash the codes.Meanwhile, a faulty idle air control valve, throttle position sensor, or major vac leak could cause both problems.
