2000 pontiac bonneville overheating
Look in the radiator to determine if the brown stuff is rust or oil. If it's oil then the head gaskets are blown and the heads will have to go to a machine shop to be ground flat. Do them both even if one side is ok, or the engine will never idle right. If it's just rust, install a back flush kit and blow out the rust. Turn the heater on when you back flush to get the rust out of the heater core. Replace the thermostat and anti freeze. Pressurize the radiator and make sure it holds. If the pressure drops off then look to find where the leak is (head gaskets)
Motor seized what to do
Over haul time. Hopefully you won't need a lot of parts to fix it. If it has so many bad parts that it can't be repaired , a short block may get you back on the road . In any event the price will be hefty.
Car heater
The heater core can be plugged. The control valve that regulates the amount of water that enters the core can be plugged or inoperative.
2000 pontiac bonneville wont start
It sounds like a bad connection somewhere, check the battery cable connections for corrosion and tightness, both ends. It could be the starter, starter solenoid, starter relay, neutral safety switch or ignition. Try moving the shift lever to the "N" position and see if that helps. When you say you have a dead key, do you mean you have no dash lights, (oil pressure light, battery light, things of that nature) no clicking, no nothing?
Where do i find the location of my thermostat
It should be at the engine end of the upper radiator hose; This hose should connect onto a fitting called a thermostat housing.. Pull the hose off and remove the two bolts (sometimes three) securing the housing to the engine block. Lift off the housing and the thermostat will be seated there. Position the new thermostat exactly as the old one is.
