Shifter handle moves but does not change gear

I would suspect a broken or disconnected cable from the shifter to the transmission.
Quite an easy repair really.
Good luck.

96 firebird is having problems,

Have you ran a diagnotic check to see what codes are coming up?
Throwing parts at the problem will get expensive. It will also ruin other parts (Like your catalytic converter), when your engine is misfiring and not running properly. Your vehicle is an OBDII system, fix the problems in the order they appear (then clear, run and recheck)...meaning, one problem can cause another and so on. Fixing one problem may correct the other ones too.
You may get lucky with the shotgun approach, but usually not.
Run a diagnostic test, at least you'll know where to start looking for the problem.

Front blinkers

I think i had the same issue. When i armed the car alarm, the lights work fine, but when i use the signals they dont work. I changed them out today and found one side had burn marks from shorting out. I used bulb grease on the new ones and have had no issues. The signals blink fine now.

Parking gear

The cable that connects from the shifter to the brake pedal is either broken, or you are not pushing the brake when you are trying to shift.

2000 pontiac firebird

A good way to tell if its the fuel pump, is to have someone listen underneath the car when you turn the key, you should hear the pump start to prime before you attempt to start the car. I had a similar problem with this on my 2000 Trans Am-it ended up being my ignition relay-open your underhood fuses an look for the relay labeled IGN an switch it out with another relay in the fuse panel, many of them are similar so it shouldn't matter-i used a fan relay myself-try to start the car an see if that helps-they are fairly cheap mine was only about $15 i believe hope this helps

2000 formula headlamp doors malfunction.

firebird headlamps are a pain, i had a similar problem with mine, the problem is the gears in the motor assembly are made of a soft material-i think plastic actually and the gears wear down after time-there are 2 ways to fix this problem, 1. replace the gears with brass ones or 2. rotate the gear in the motor to where you are now using the new side of the gear, because only half of the gear is used when operating the headlights so if you rotate the gear to where your now using the unused side--it should work better now--after time tho this side will eventually get worn down as well so this is only a temporary fix.

Multipule misfires

I had the same problem, obd2 said cyclnders 1 and 3 were misfiring. After changing the spark plugs replace your coils. they are about 20-40 apiece. If you arent able to do it yourself or have a friend do it expect to pay 150-300 dollars depending on the mechanic and the amount of coils.

My van in park just keeps rolling and wont stop

Check underneath the vehicle to see if your gear selector is moved by a short cable from the gear shift.
It may adjusting a little or it has come out of it`s retaining clip.
Good Luck

Idles rough when coasting

Have you checked all the vacuum pipes around the top of the engine.?
It`s not losing oil pressure, it`s just about to stall when the oil light comes on.
Listen for a hissing noise under the hood.
Vacuum leaks can cause real problems with the inlet manifold pressures.
Good luck.

2000 PONTIAC FIREBIRD FUEL PUMP REPLACEMENT

Many of the Pontiacs of that era up to even present models had an access panel in the trunk that you could access through the back seat pass through.

Its been a while since I seen the inside of a Firebird, but in thinking about it the back seat pass through may not be present on the Firebird, but it may be worth the time to lift up the carpeting in the trunk area and see if there is an access panel to the fuel pump.
