Airbag light
all the vehicles i've ever worked on, about the air bag light thing.Vehicles have what is known as a clock spring under the steering wheel, you have to pull the steering wheel to getto it. VW may call it something else. That clock spring allows the steering wheel to be able to move, and it feedsinfo to the steering wheel air bag. it's nothing but a wire connection that moves without breaking. After a lot ofdriving the spring gets a lot of action and will finally break so the info is then blocked and the air bag light goes on.If you decide to tackle it, disconnect the battery first thing, you could set off the air bag if you don't. The clockspring can be removed and tested with a volt ohm meter to see if it has a reading or not. no reading bad...reading ofany kind good. The spring isn't cheep, and the repair isn't easy. You also have to be sure you have everything corrector the air bag can go off when you reconnect the battery.
My key will not go into the ingition.
Just had the issue on my 2006 GTi. I used 3-1 oil and pushed the key in until it stopped. If you look into the ignition, there is a little grey tab. That is the part you need to settle back in. I pushed the key forward and back a couple times until I heard a "click". I looked in and the tab had reseeded. My key then went in. Jerking the steering wheel doesnt help. nor does forcing it the key in. Use lubricant and a method to allow the lubricant to work its way into the grey tab. www.nftuboise.com

I just had serpentein belt
sounds as though the belt is slipping. You should have a tension pulley to take up the slack. I'd take it back to the shop and let them know it is slipping. The more it slips, the slicker the belt will get and the more it will slip until eventually, it will burn, tear and will have to be replaced again.
Make sure they don't just spray it with belt dressing as that is a temporary fix. The tension must be correct. If you paid for the service, make sure they do it correctly.
Hi I am getting a
It appears you are having trouble with your fuel pressure regulation. Check for leak at vacuum hose connections to fuel pressure regulator. Your fuel pressure is low causing the fuel mixture to vary. This is causing your idle control valve to compensate. You may have a bad fuel pressure regulator. Check to see if gas is coming out of the vacuum fitting on the fuel pressure regulator, this would explain the problems you are experiencing, as raw fuel would be flowing into the vacuum line and into the engine causing a very rich mixture. you could check the fuel pressure but I'm guessing you don't have the gauge to do it.

You can get the glass seperatley. It should come with the wires on the back that you plug into the mount. If your mirror "self dims" then its going to be around $100, if it does not (meaning it doesnt automatically dim when a bright light hits it) you should be looking at around $30.
