Where is the resistor for air conditionning on e36
If you are referring to the Final Stage Unit, or Blower Resistor (it's called both things)... check out this good BMW DIY with pictures:

When turning key all the way over it simply does
Hi,
You'll likely need a new
ignition switch. (The electrical side) You can confirm this by pulling the lower steering cover when issue is occurring, and using a test light on the black and yellow wire when turning key to "Start" position. If test light doesn't illuminate, replace switch. (Easy)

How do you open a fully automatic convertible top on a 1997 328l bmw
Release both motors, remove the plastic cover located in the middle of the top inside. Put a hex bit in your cordless drill and unscrew in reverse until the top latches are released from the top.
Then it basically takes two people to fold back the top. Unfortunately with a fully automatic top you likely won't be able to engage the tonneau so don't plan on driving on the highway.

How do you add transmission fluid?
From below the car. the fill plug is at the bottom of the pan. You need a pump to push the fluid from the bottle to the transmission.
