No socket a flat tip or phillips screwdriver

First you need a mechanic ! then you need to turn the engine to TDC with # 1 cylinder on the compression stroke , then you need to mark all the ignition wires so you know how they go back on, a special wrench (usually 9/16) to get to the hold down bolt on the distributor .

check to make sure as these units had a screw driver slot as well

sounds like your hydraulic clutch has failed. I would reccommend an internal inspection of your transmission by a mechanic.

check your fuel pressure and oil pressure as well as oil pressure sender

Sounds like a transmission problem, check your trani oil ,smell it to see if it smells burnt, also it will look black.

Did you recently change the transmitter/ bought a new one, changed the battery? How did the problem start? Was it sudden or did the receiver die over a period of time? Is is possible that the receiver is not recognizing the transmitter's signal. Do you have a spare transmitter? Is the spare transmitter also not working? Please give more information.

trace the wire back through ignition switch, which should be the source to the coil.

I would say that you have a bad battery . If the alternator is charging ok but the battery is bad all the current will go to the dying cell . Have a load test done on the battery to eliminate it as a source of a problem. Next have the alternator bench tested as there may be a problem in the rectifier pack
