Auto transmission wont go into 4th
This is a very common problem which can be fixed for under $100 without removing the transmission
It is the end clutch which can be removed as an assymble aout the side of the transmission. New parts will run under a hundred. Serch and you will find pages that show pictorials on this repair.
Where is the water pump located on a mitsubishi
All Mitsubishi cars pretty much hide the water pump under the timing belt. You should buy all new belts for the car. You will have to take off the power steering belt, the alternator belt, the upper belt cover, support the motor, take off the motor mount, line up the tdc timing mark, take off the lower pulleys, take off the lower cover, take off the timing belt, counter balancer belt if there is one, water pump belt, and now you can unbolt the water pump, scrape the gasket, and replace it. Now the good news, if you have tools,a compressor, an air gun(for lower pulley bolt), patience , and four to eight hours to kill, you can actually save money and do it your self.
Door locks not operation correctly
hi
there is a motor placed inside the doors for the operation of the central lockin system. when you open the door by key this motos is activated and all door locks are released. your problem may because of this motor is failed.
cause of the failure
1.the wire going to the motor may be chopped off.
2.the junction box connecting the wires may be damaged.
3.fuse may be blown out.
4.motor itsef damaged.
so please check weather power is coming to the motor using multi meter. if the power is not coming to it then the problem is with the wires. if the power is coming to it then problem is with the motor.
please vote me if my answer was useful to you.
Why is my fuse under the hood keeps blowing? Its
unplug the small wire on the starter and replace the fuse and then try to start it again to see if the short is before or after that point.
if it dosent blow any more than theres a short in the starter.
hope this helps
thank you for using fixya.

Hi and thanks for your reply to my question re:
Take the Crankshaft Pulley off in order for you to see the Markings ON the Crankshaft Sprocket (usually a machine pressed dot or line). And you should be able to see the Marking On the Engine right behind this.
Based on your year (1994): I would replace whatever you want to replace now, especially with everything apart. Think....everything back together and it (they) go out! Now you have to take everyhting back together.
Regarding the OEM vs Dayco vs Gates. OEM is better but more expensive, Dayco & Gates not as good but less expensive...just my opinion. How much longer will you have with this car??
Cheers!
If I Engage Into any Gear there's no drive either
I don't know what a RVR is but this is the kind of thing you have to pretty much take to a trans shop. One word of caution; do not let them take your trans from the car to figure out what is wrong with it unless you are planning on having them fix it. This is a typical ploy of trans shops. They get your car in and get your approval to pull the trans to check it out. You will not get your car back together unless they rebuild the trans so call around and ask about the price of having the trans rebuilt before you take it anywhere so you have an idea who is going to rip you off so you can avoid them right up front. With that said..... Assuming the transmission is filled with the correct amount of transmission fluid you should know that the major weakness with the the 7th generation Galants (1994-98 Galants) is the auto trans fails. Generally you will see a gradual loss of function. First it will stop going into some gears, then it will not even move the car at all for a short waiting period. In the end it just wont move the car period. Ultimate recourse is to either rebuild the trans or replace with a manual unit from a junk yard. Information on doing a 5 speed swap can be found here: http://www.thegalantcenter.net/showthread.php?t=38309 Infomration on galants in general can be found under the 7g section of http://www.thegalantcenter.net

How do you remove the radio from a 1994 Mitsubishi
Disconnet negative battery cable.
Pull the center bezel by pulling it back
You will now see the radio and heater controls.
You may have to remove the screw holding the heater controls to gain access to the screws holding the radio.
Radio will have screw holding it in place as well as wht electrical plugs in the back that have to be removed.
