comon things are air filter fuel filter but it is very possible your fuel pump maybe working but geting worn and not supplying the rite amount of fuel presure. also the throttle positioning sencor.....

I’ve had vehicles come in with white smoke to me it might be vapor that’s due to water going thru the pistons.

Remove the engine and transmission as one unit.
divorce them when out of the vehicle .
Marry the new engine and old trans and replace them as one unit .

how much does it go up to ? could be an air loc in the system or fauty switch ?is the electric fan working ?if its a auto it will rev higher at lights with the brake on as it wants to go . try putting it in to park at lights etc ?

first thing is to verify good fuel pressure. should be about 40 psi.

You mean you can turn it by hand but not key.

Your car has a serpentine belt. Thats one belt that connects your alternator,water pump, power steering etc.

Have you checked the spark plugs and wires?
