1996 jetta water steams out
This can be a simple item or major. Most if the time a water hose or radiator will leak and you only need to replace the defective part and refill the car with an antifreeze mix.If someone can look under hood for a leak, you may be able to find the bad part. If you can not find the bad part, there are testing devices which can be borrowed (Tool loaner programs at autoparts stores) to pressurize the radiator and hoses to force the remaining water from the leak, aiding in finding the problem. If this is a rapid leak, better to tow the car to a Radiator repair shop, than risk ruining the engine from overheating. Major leaks like engine block seals and head gaskets usually cost more for labor than the actual component costs. So if you can just change a hose, you can save the remaining antifreeze and reuse it.I hope my solution helps and please rate my info.
1996 jetta 2.0 water not circulating
check your water pump . To do something with it,just remove the expansion tank cap when the engine is cold, start the engine let it warm up and then accelerate in a constant revs and follow the water in the expansion tank if it moves whilst having your eyes on the engine temperature not to exceed the 90 degrees maximum allowed temperature. If the water will not move then the first thing you should do just leave it to cool down and then remove the water pump,if you know the procedure,as the water pump to come off you should remove the timing belt and is a complicated job for you if you do not know basic mechanical works on your car. If you manage to remove the water pump, ask somebody to turn the water pump from the pulley's side whilst you are holding the impeller of it and you will see that the shaft it turns but the impeller will not. That is the problem of your car. If that is not the problem, then go for the thermostat or the radiator if is blogged and does not allow the water to rotate. Check the vents of the radiator if are hot all over the radiator surface,if not then the radiator is blogged and you have to send it for cleaning.

95 VW Jetta is overheating
You'll have to remove the radiator (it isn't that hard) and take it to a Yellow Page listed radiator repair shop...Be prepared to spend $200, less if you're lucky...Don't forget to put water pump lube (NAPA #13 - looks like milk) in the radiator after replacing the fluid 50/50 mix
Changed battery now no power
Yes this is a problem, unfortunately you may have to bring it to a Volkswagen dealer for them to fix this issue. First try to lock and unlock the drivers side door with the Key instead of the automatic unlock button on the remote. If this doesn't work continue to insert the key into the ignition turn it to the on position, do not try to start it yet, and pump the gas peddle three times holding down the third time, then try to start the car.

Radio code is specific for each and every car. It is specific like anti theft code.
So you can get it by providing your VIN# and registration details in authorised dealership.Nobody else can provide you. If anybody can provide you that , then there is no meaning of security for your car..
1996 VW jetta will not start
You vehicle works off a standard ignition key which links to a electrical ignition switch. The wire from the switch goes to the starter solenoid. That wire has a fusable link which operates like a fuse. If to many amps surge through this wire it will melt down inside the insulation. The insulation will not melt away causing a headache to most novice mechcanics. Pull on the solenoid wire a few inches away from the solenoid and see if it stretches at least 1/8 of an inch or more. If it does it has an open stopping the continuity to the positive lug to the solenoid preventing it to work. Any auto parts store sells these fusable links. The counterperson will suggest the crimping supplies and tools needed to purchase for this repair
How to remove transmission , how to replace reverse gear?
Are you sure that it is gone? make sure the all the bushing on the transmission are good it maybe that it is not able to go all the way in gear. If you do need to take it out get a good manual "Bentley" are the best it will show you the inside of the transmission too. Haynes are also good but not for working on the transmission it self
