I have 2005 outlander with 96k. dealer recommends
they are correct ,actually this should have been done at 60k, im sure they are referring to the drive belts ,if you are getting this done at the dealer they will use genuine mitsu parts ,but if you take it to an independent garage make sure they use OE compatiable ,quality parts mitsu can be picking about the parts you put in them , esp. trans fluid MUST BE mitsu SP3 !!!!!! and spark plugs must be denso or ngk plugs only no bosch!! or youll be doing again

Hello,
You should have the ODBII (OBD2) computer read by a code reader either at a repair facility or perhaps an auto parts place that may do it for free. Your vehicle has a failure of sort with one of it's systems and this is the only way to find out which /what part is having problems. To ignore it usually only leads to a more costly failure later including engine failure.
Good Luck!

Cost of drive belt
cant really give a price as to the diff prices offered by the parts dealers. check with your local parts house to see what the cost they offer as different brands have a different price. hope this helps
How do i reset my
When the check engine light comes on, on about any vehicle it is a trouble code you can take it to autozone, napa or some similar autosupply house and they can read the code and tall you what the problem is or you can take it to a mechanic of your choice and they can do it there, if they reset and there is a problem that isn't repaired the light will go off for a short period then come back on again. I had this problem with one of my vehicles and the check engine light would not go off until I had the problem repaired which was the cooling system failure telling the vehicle that it was running hot when it wasn't causing it to shut down.
I hope this help you.

Car alarm doesn't make any
WHY BOTHER!!!!!, what use are car alarms anyway,...everyone ignores them or yells at you to turn it off because it is waking up the baby at night....it has a fabulous immobiliser anyway, plus you can't start it without the key as the ignition key has a microchip that talks to the car's computer...If all else fails, and you are worried about the contents of your vehicle,...put an angry rattlesnake in your car....
Would high octanage as 91
The only way improper octane rated gas can damage your vehicle is if you use an octane rating that is too low. Using gas with a higher rating than your vehicle calls for will not damage the vehicle.
How to bleed the clutch?
make sure the slave cylender has pleanty of fluid in it, if you are by youself its better off to gravity feed it, you do that by making sure the reservoir is full, crack the bleed plug on the slave cylender, and let it drip, make sure its only dripping though, and not running out, it should be a slow drip, and let it bleed overnight.. a quicker way is have someone help by pumping the pedal and holding against it whild you crack the bleeder. ( tell them not to let off until you tell them, they need to hold pressure against it) let the air/fluid out, retighten. ( not they can let off) do the process a few times until your happy with the pedal... but whatever you do make sure the reservoir always has fluid in it, and your helper does not let off of the clutch while the bleeder is open, or you will hafta start all over again.. hope this helps
What the meaning of SRS
srs is supplemental inflatable restraint, or air bag system, it is on due to some type of failure in the system, unfortunately it will need to be diagnosed before a repair can be made. it will have to at least be diagnosed at a dealer, or well trained garage tech, But when the lamp is on the system is disabled and can not go off so if you don't mind driving without air bags you can put it off till you have the time and cash to deal with a repair shop
05 Outlander. The rear
ok what you need to do is use something called a stablizer bar.. normally this is connectes from shock head to shock head on top of the car.. in your case have it welded to eighter end of the chasis below the car.
keep tightening the bar to bring in both ends to strighten the tires up..
the chasis is opening thats whats causing the tires to flare outward, this bar will pull it back in..
when you got extra money change both cradles/... keep the bar ,, helps to keep you alignment in check..
I need to buy Brainbox
THATS A DEALERSHIP PART AND FIX.THEY HAVE TO REPROGRAM IT BEFORE YOUR CAR WILL OPERATE OR CRANK.
For 2005 mitsubishi outlander which octane (87, 89
lower octanes will not hurt your 2005 outlander truck at all... the engine computer adjusts to
the lower octane... you may notice a slightly higher fuel consumption
with the lower octane fuel but the money you save on lower octane fuel
offsets the mileage.
