Fan is not working. No heat to defrost or warm the truck. Checked fuses. They are OK. Help!!!
What a piece of ****! The foreign cars don't have this problem, but buy and american truck that they have been making forever and you'll get a piece of ****. Why? So they can take you to the cleaners and cry when no one wants to buy their product! They know it's bad and they choose not to fix the problem! Good buisness practices! They ****!

My voltage guage sometimes reads 12 volts when I'm driving. At times it will charge at between 14 - 15 volts. I've recently had to jump start the truck a couple of times because the battery was low even though I didn't leave lights on or anything plugged into the cig lighter. I just replaced the battery and everything looked fine but today I noticed the guage was at 12 volts again. Would a bad alternator charge sometimes? I haven't had any problems with the new battery yet but I'm afraid it's just because it has a good charge on it for now.
Perfectly normal.
Starting with the 2005 model year, light duty full size pickups and
utilities are equipped with a new Regulated Voltage Control (RVC)
system. This system reduces the targeted output of the generator to
12.6-13.1 volts when in "Fuel Economy Mode" to improve fuel economy.
The generator may exit "Fuel Economy Mode" if additional voltage is
required. This will cause the voltmeter to fluctuate between 12 and 14
volts as opposed to non-regulated systems that usually maintain a more
consistent reading of 14 volts. This fluctuation with the RVC system is
normal system operation and NO repairs should be attempted.

replace the blowermotor resistor, it is also called a blowermotor control processor its located on heater box next to the heatercore, here a picture of it and a diagram to show you exactly were it is. this will solve your problem,hope this helps you.

how do you bleed the brakes on a 2006 chevy silverado 1500
Fill the master cylinder with brake fluid before beginning. Jack the car up so that the two rear wheels are about six inches above the ground. Slide under the right rear wheel and look at the back of the brake system for a small bleed valve. A bleed valve is a hollow bolt. When loosened it will allow the brake fluid to flow out and result in the vehicle having no brakes Fit a rubber hose over the end of the bleed valve. Make sure it forms a tight seal and make sure the free end is below the level of fresh and clean brake fluid. As the brake fluid in the line pushes out of the system, you will see a bubble come from the end that is under fluid.Have a helper sit in the driver's seat and follow your instructions. Tell your helper to pump the brakes hard a few times. Open the bleeder valve and tell your helper to press the brake pedal firmly down to the floor and hold it there until you indicate otherwise. Close the bleeder valve and have your helper release the brake pedal. Repeat this process until you see a small bubble ejected from the tubing under the surface of the brake fluid in the jar. Once you have finished with this wheel, move to the left rear wheel. Before you begin the next wheel brake, refill the master cylinder reservoir. Get set up and repeat the same steps for this tire.The next two wheels you will bleed are the right front wheel and then the left front wheel. Bleed the wheels in the order of the longest brake line first and then working towards the shortest brake line. Refill the master cylinder reservoir before beginning each new wheel. Once the rear brakes are finished, lower the car and jack up the front of the car. Remember to road test the brakes and make sure they operate well

Hi, there is a separate fuse for the outlets and the lighter. The fuse for the outlets is labeled "AUX PWR." Both are in the fuse box under the hood. See picture below and thanks for using FixYa.

2006 chevy silverado abs light comes on goes off comes on goes off
Hi...your problem might be coming from your front wheel bearing hubs. They are know to cause this problem as they wear out and eventually have to be replaced.

2006 chevy 1500 silverado oil pressure gauge reading 80 how do I trouble shoot
is this a problem if oil pressure is 80 when i start it up?

where is the location?
The orifice tube is located in the line of the high pressure side of the system it maybe at the condenser or in the high pressure line. You should be able to feel a crimp in the line and the is the stop for the orifice. I believe the o6 is in the line and as I said there is a crimp in the line where the orifice is located.

Press the info button on the steering wheel. It will give you a bunch of options. One is English units, one metric units. Choose english. Should change back to mph.
