Need info on 1987 fuso bus 47 seater

buses as large as 47 passenger are normally not built by the vehicle manufacturer but are built by a coach building company on a manufacturer chassis. As an example Scania make the vehicle chassis and running gear but it is a bus company that builds on to the frame . So have a look around the chassis -engine area -drivers area for extra compliance plates that will have a manufacturer's name to identify who actually made the bus. If you can indentify the - engine , gear box, diffs as belonging to a particular vehicle manufacturer then by using the vin number and contacting the engineering department of that manufacturer you may be able to track down the coach builder and get more information that way

When does one engage the ''L'' gear when driving a mitsubishi rvr c

the L gear is Gear # 1 and likewise 2 is second gear, you utilise this in case you are going down on a slop especially icy or snow condition all it does is runs just on 1 or 2 respectively without changing whichh gieves more traction on the road.

Is a 1987 motor from out of a mitsubishi pajero

I think they bolt up, would probably only need the spiggot bearing from the manual one put into the auto motor, they just press into the centre of the rear crank flange, very cheap part & probably easier to use a new one rather than trying to get the old one out. Have seen sigma engines bolted into these before too, look to bolt straight in.

Hi,my gearbox seems to be clogged.I just drained the oil and i noticed this

Was your drained off oil felt as if it was lumpyish? because an old selling dodge to keep a noisy gearbox quite was to insert sawdust into the gearbox.

1987 Pajero SWB 4wd 2

Oil pumps are driven by the crankshaft. You may have 2 different problems or they may be related. As for the oil, inspect first the oil levels. Observe if you are loosing oil fast. It could be burned by the engine (bad piston rings, oils seals or gaskets) or leaks.

The cause of the loss of power and the red light may be due to the timing chain. It may have lost its tension or wear in the system. This would affect the oil pressure, hence the red light and the engine performance. In time if unchecked it may cause serious damage to the engine as piston may hit the valves.

To check you would have to open up the front part of the engine (opposite the transmission) to gain access to the timing chain and for you to ***** the damage. It could just be a bad tensioner, worn gears or bad pieces of the chain.

Had battery replaced yesterday, didn't realise

hi.

lots of engine management systems are "semi-intelligent" they learn your driving patterns and adjust engine settings to perform best for your driving style.

when they are reset or disconnected they go back to default settings, and until they pick up your driving patterns again, the car can run a little rougher than usual until the system readjusts.
this can take a few days, or 50-100 miles.

just double check to make sure you have not disturbed any pipes or wires under the bonnet and the car should settle down as you drive it.
if the security code was entered incorrectly, the car would probably be immobilised. the fact that it runs suggest that the code has been accepted.

if you are not sure, you could always try disconnecting the battery again and re-entering the security codes.

please feel free to post again if the problem persists

My problem is engine overheat

After making sure the coolant level is correct the next thing to do would be to replace the thermostat as it may be sticking. If that doesn't help a coolant system flush may be needed.
