1996 mitsubishi mirage S when I press the gas
So it is still doing the same thing after all the repairs and replacement of parts? I had a Nissan Sentra that seemed lacking in power and a pretty rough idle. I did a compression test with results similar to yours, actually a little less, averaging about 155 psi. My problem turned out to be a bad spark plug. It was just dead. took me awhile to find it. But if you have an engine with 160 psi, well, now you know, but too bad someone didn't advise you, you have no reason to pull the head off, that part was perfectly good. All I'm saying is, it may or may not be as simple as my problem, but you just missed something. EGR valve comes to mind, pcv valve too.
And that fuel pressure sounds strange. Do you know if those specs are okay with Mitsubishi? That is quite a variance from 39 to 50. On my GM cars, the fuel pressure at idle is not much different than pressure at higher speeds. You might check into that, if you haven't already. Have you scanned for fault codes? That should be automatic, even if the CEL is not on.
Sorry can't help more, good luck.

Your clutch is slipping. If you hold your brakes, can you release the clutch without the engine killing? Do you smell the burning at this time? Then you need to replace your clutch. Do it soon before it damages the flywheel.
My car turns off while driving ? now it won't start
Let us assume you have not run out of fuel and the fuel gauge is ok.
Normally cars do not stop suddenly if battery is the issue. Could be the alternator but you have installed a new battery. The fuel system seems to be the problem. Could be blocked fuel pump.

- steering lock
- and ENGINE EFI lock outs.
to move any car no key you must defeat #1 and 2.
number 1 is easy the console , park defeat lever. gets you to neutral easy.
the steering is big problem huh? no key
if you can get it to neutral, you can push any car.
but turning is an issue.
having only 1 key invites this. , if you had even 1 spare metal key
the steering would be free.
All power gone from car
All automobiles have a kind of power transfer port. The battery and everything requiring a 12volt supply passes through the wiring harness. Most everything gets its ground from the frame. So If all power is lost suspect the harness. Otherwise there would be power failure at whatever refuses to work. So check at the wiring harness. Carefully probe the harness under the hood at the fire wall. all the power gets to its destination on the other side of the harness that is inside the car under the dash. If there is no voltage outside there is a great likelihood that none will be inside. Your problem is interesting, you will discover it soon, just by eliminating things in a logical fashion. Post again if none of this has helped you. Finally, try to recall the last thing you were doing before everything quit.
